It’s magic.
Risa's summary: Belle transforms into a butterfly on starless and cloudless days.
On a beautiful day, she meets Leo.
And just maybe, life has something in store for the pair. This book made me smile.
It was short, easy to follow, and sweet.
However, I felt something close to nothing while I read; nothing seemed real. The story was simply what it was: fiction. In my opinion, fiction should be more than what it really is. Fiction should be its own reality, convincing and persuasive. I had lots of questions!
Why does belle turn into a butterfly?
Do others have the same ability?
What was the idea behind the starless nights and cloudless days?
What world am I in?
How in the universe did teardrops fall from Leo’s eyes while they were trying to revive him?
The story greatly lacked depth, I hardly understood the plot. It's a very short story so there really isn’t much to say, but I’d suggest:
Invest more into your story, every part of it. Work on characterisation, build a strong plot, and create a compelling world. The more depth your story has, the more ability it has to suck readers in.
Grammar was impressive, there were errors but all can be quickly fixed with good editing. I was a fan of neither the book’s cover nor its summary.
Stars of Butterfly is a quick and sweet read you might want to give a try.
