°RISA WILL NOT SUGAR-COAT°

I really am not a big fan of sugar.

Yes, I love a good tub of icecream and will dive into a fountain of chocolate and cake but really, I'm not a big fan of sugar.

Especially, when it's coating words.

Some persons send private messages asking if I can only put up the good parts of their books and leave the bad parts out. Some indirectly ask if I could sprinkle in some sugar, maybe douse the not-so-good parts of their books in honey.

My simple answer is: no, dear author. False honey and false sugar are pretty bad toppings for paper, be it a digital paper or an actual paper.

Don't get me wrong, my reviews are matter-of-fact, but in my opinion, are also in no way harsh/insulting/demeaning. I understand different people perceive these three words differently.

Hence, I implore all those considering me to review their books: please, go through my previous reviews and be certain you're comfortable with my review style because your book might be next on the table. Again, I'll give my genuine thoughts without sugar-coating. If there were parts I loved, I'll be sure to mention, if there were none, I'll also be sure to mention!

True honey and true sugar are found in the pages of a good book, no added sugar -- not Risa feeling like a sage.

Sighing.
