"Cassie" Blair squeals, pulling me into her arms as I enter the kitchen where my Mom is preparing a welcome home feast.

"Oh my god I missed your stupid face" she says squeezing me a little too tightly.

"I missed you too" I confess.

Blair releases me, takes a step back and looks at me "You look like you've been on a really luxurious holiday" she observes "the tan, the healthy glow, the muscles" she says pointing towards my thighs.

I look down and laugh "there was a lot of physical therapy" I reveal.

"Girls get cleaned up this will be on the table in five minutes"

Blair takes my hand and pulls me out of the kitchen and into the hall "Where were you" she asks me, looking a little worried.

"Oh" I say thrown off by her tone. "I went for a walk" I reply "ended up at the facility"

"Isn't that a little morbid" Blair asks honestly, walking to the downstairs bathroom where she stands and washes her hands.

I observe her in the mirror from where I stand behind her.

"No I needed to see it. I can't believe that Silvia is still there" I say with a smile at the thought of her sat there with a grin.

"She won't die... I think she will still be here in twenty years time. That woman is incredible" Blair says, removing her hands from the sink and drying them on a hand towel.

I take her place and wash mine. "It was great to see her. I had no idea Maddie was close with her"

Blair shifts slightly onto one foot and looks at my reflection in the mirror a little off "you saw Maddie" she asks.

"I did" I return, reaching for the hand towel and drying my hands. "Why didn't you tell me you worked together this summer" I asked curiously.

Blair looked guiltily back at me  "I didn't think you would want to know about Maddie and Sarah"

"Maddie and Sarah" I return, puzzled by her pairing of them again so quickly.

"I didn't mention Sarah" I add, narrowing my eyes at her as she avoided my gaze and left the room. "Blair" I call accusingly following her from the room.

"It's nothing" she shrugs it off, taking the stairs two at a time.

I follow slower, and make my way to her bedroom just as she shuts the door.

I knock "Blair we aren't five" I say strongly "don't be like this"

She opens the door, and I practically fall in, landing haphazardly onto the bed before fighting myself into a sitting position.

"What do you want from me" she asks frustratedly.

My eyebrows knit together in complete confusion. "What do you mean what do I want from you. Why are you acting like this" I ask irritated.

Blair sits at her desk and looks into her mirror, finding me awaiting her answer in the reflection "I don't know what to tell you or what you want me to tell you. I don't know if you hate Sarah or if you love her or if you are completely indifferent at this point. I know better though, than to step on that land mine right now"

"Oh" falls from my lips.

"Cass, I am absolutely terrified of saying the wrong thing and sending you backwards, and you haven't made it easy on me. You dance around the truth to the point I'm dizzy. I can't figure out what the truth even is. You bite my head off when I speak about Sarah, go mute, and then in the next breath you want to know about her. And god damn it if I'm not absolutely exhausted from it"
