❤Duff #5- Teach Me

Duff was the most uncoordinated giraffe you'd ever seen. The guy could play the fuck out of his bass, but he was uncoordinated to even walk sometimes. So, when he asked me to teach him how to dance, to say I was surprised is an understatement. I was shocked. Which is why I was currently sitting here looking at him like he was stupid.

"Michael. You want me to teach you how to dance? Don't you know how?"

"June-bug. I wanna learn because you know how, and I know you've been wanting to enter the bar contest. "

"Wait- you'll do it with me?"

"Well duh, but you gotta teach me first."

"Yay! But we start tomorrow because we have to move the house around, so we have enough space."

"Oh god. You're lucky you're my best friend."
He says ruffling my hair before sitting down next to me. 

"You know you're gonna be really hard to teach."

"I'll be fine, I'm sure."

"Duff you're a giraffe, you can barely walk without tripping over your own feet sometimes. And you wanna learn to country dance. I don't mean line dance either. Like arm swings, feet moving, hips, everything all at once."

"I'll learn. We have a month to get ready."

"I hope it's enough time." I sighed.

"So where are we starting?" Duff asks.

"First off, go change. Sweats, wife-beater, sneakers. Go."

"What's wrong with what I'm in?"

"Duff, before you put on things you can't move in, you have to get used to moving in general."

"But you're in jeans."

"I'm used to this remember."

"I- fine."

When Duff came back, then we started simple.

"Okay, so before we start swinging, you have to learn how to two-step."

"June, I'm not a baby, I know how to two-step."

"Well, that's one of the basic steps."

Duff surprised me and two-stepped pretty well. One, two, one, one, two. It wasn't bad. He knows more than I thought, I guess. 

"K, you can two-step, now gonna start the first swing."

I grabbed his hands and stepped back until he was in the same place, and I was holding onto him. 

"Now, you're gonna pull me in once, I'm gonna come back out, then when you pull the second time, circle your arms around me while you do."

Duff nodded and did exactly what he was supposed to do.

"Good. Now, this is where the height difference is gonna fuck us over. Kneel a little cause I have to undo my arms and wrap them around you."
