Dating a virgin wasn't easy. It never is. But Steven loved June and never wanted to push boundaries with her. Usually, they'd kiss and cuddle with an odd hand job thrown in the mix once in a great while. Which was perfect for Steven, fantastic even. He didn't want her to feel pressured into doing anything she wasn't ready for.

"She's just been, different. Not different like distant or anything like that, but different. There's somethin' wrong, man."

"The fuck are you getting at?"
Slash asked with a confused expression.

"Like if we're at mine, she's fine. But if we go to her place, all she wants to do is make out."
He sighed sadly.

"Don't you like to do that?"
He questions.

"Yeah, I mean, I don't mind. But she's being weird about it."
Steven tried to explain.

"Weird how? Like a new tongue thing or?"

"No, no, it's just. She's so touchy. Like when we're making out she's all over me."
He tried to explain exasperatedly.

"She's your girlfriend?"
Slash reminded in a questioning voice.

"I know that asshole. I'm just saying it's weird."
Steven said.

"I still don't see the problem."
Slash shook his head.

"Nevermind. Maybe I'm just being stupid."
Steven heavily sighed.

"If it's buggin' you, tell her something."
He suggests.

"Yeah, fair enough."
Steven nodded.

-

"June- June, baby wait-"
He mumbled, trying to break the forceful kiss.

"What, babe?"
She asked, still perched in his lap.

"I- Are you okay?"
Steven breathed out.

"What? Yeah, baby, 'm fine."
She smiled softly at him.

"I just- are you sure?"
He asked, his eyebrows raising slightly.

"Steven, what are you trying to ask me?"
June questioned.

"It's just that you're different. 'nd not in a way that's like weird or anything. But it seems like all you want to do is kiss and feel on me. Not that I mind, but it just seems forced. Like you're trying to prove something."
He rambled, twiddling his fingers.

"Fuck, baby, I'm sorry."
She sighed, letting her head fall into his shoulder.

"It's okay, I just want to know what's wrong. You've never been like this before."
Steven. explained, lacing their fingers together.

"It's stupid really."
June muttered.

"Baby, it's not stupid if it's something that's bugging you.
He reassured her.

"It's just that- like the girls keep giving me shit 'cause we haven't done it yet. But it isn't like they just make fun of me. They say shit about you. 'nd I don't like it and I thought maybe you'd think I was ready if I did more."
June rambled, obviously upset by the things herfriends had been saying.

"June, baby, why didn't you say anything?"
Steven asked softly.

"I dunno. I just- I thought if maybe we did stuff, then they wouldn't tease me so much."
She mumbled.

"Are you ready for other stuff, though? That's the important piece here babe."
He asked calmly.

"Yeah. I am."
June said confidently.

"Are you sure? Like you're actually ready?"
Steven asked skeptically.

"Yeah, babe. I- I was ready before everything started. But I wasn't sure how you'd feel, and I knew you were okay with what we've been doing."
She explained hesitantly.
