"Kids, dinner."
I yelled from the table where their plates were sitting.

Soon enough all 7- I mean- 6 kids came down the stairs, Izzy trailing behind them.
We ate in silence for a while before my oldest daughter, Rebecca- a sophomore- spoke up.
"Jake's going to Homecoming with Madison."

"Well, then he's a jackass."
Izzy said.
Jake was Rebecca's fling. From what Izzy and I could tell, she seemed to like him.

"I don't get what you see in the loser."
Drake, my oldest- a senior- spoke up.

"Drake."
I snapped.

"I don't get it. I mean, we've been friends forever and now it's weird."
She sighed.

I gave Izzy a look that said 'Say something to her or it's your ass.'
To which he blinked twice which meant 'What the fuck am I supposed to say?'
I then responded with three blinks that said 'Figure it out."

"Well, Becca-"
He started before Josh- the 8th grader- began to laugh.

"What's funny Josh?"

"You and Dad had a conversation with your eyes and he just starts talking like nothing."

"Well Josh, that's what happens when you've been together for so long. You learn to speak without talking."
Izzy said.

"How long have you been together Mamma?"
My youngest- Kamyron- a second grader- asks from beside me.

"What Iz? 20?"
I asked him, trying to remember that far back.

"Something like that. But we were friends before that. Since first grade."
He smiles proudly.

"Since first grade?"
Taylor- our 6th grader- asks.

"Yeah, first grade."

I was at recess on the swings by this boy. He had short-ish black hair, and green eyes, and was dressed in black jeans and a blue shirt. He was twiddling with his fingers.
"Hi."
I say softly.

"Hey. I'm Jeffrey."

"Jeffrey? That's a weird name."
I giggle.

"What's your name?"
He asks smiling.

"June."

"June? Like the month?"

"Yea."

The bell rang before we could say another word and we raced to get in line. We stood by each other and he asked to be my friend. I smiled and said yes.

"Damn, so Dad had game in first grade?"
Drake joked.

"He did. It got better in high school."

"Gross Mom."
Rebecca grimaced, along with her siblings that understood.

"I had to be good at something, I sucked at romantic shit."
He said smirking over at me making me blush.

"He's not wrong."

It was Valentine's Day 1980-something. Izzy had done nothing, absolutely nothing. I got that he wasn't romantic but a simple flower would work you know?

"June! June- wait up!"
He yelled as I made my way to the last period of the day.

"What Izzy?"
I snapped.

"I left something in your locker for you. And meet me in the parking lot after school."
He said in a rush, kissing my cheek and running off to his last hour.

"So what was in your locker?"
Michael- a fourth-grader- asked.

"A bouquet of daisies."
I smiled.

"Daisies are her favorite."
Izzy said to clarify his actions.

"The parking lot?"
Rebecca asked.

"We just went on a little ride that's all."

"Some ride."
Izzy smirked making me blush...again.

"You are both disgusting."
Drake said pretending to throw up.

"Enough about us, everyone go to bed. You all have school tomorrow."
Izzy ordered.

The kids groaned at him but followed orders and left their plates and headed up to their rooms.
I grabbed them all and started cleaning up.
I was washing dishes when I felt Izzy's arms wrap around my waist and a soft, tempting, kiss was left on my neck.

"The kids asleep?"

"Yea. I'm pretty sure Drake and Rebecca just had their computers on sleep or something."
He chuckled.

"They'll just be extra bitchy in the morning."

"Babe, I was thinking."

"Did it hurt?"
I joked.

"We need a vacation. Just me and you, like old times."
He said, hand trailing down to rest on my hips, his lips leaving slow kisses on my neck.

"Izzy. Don't start this now. Wait until vacation."
I smiled.

"Glad you came around; I booked the hotel for this weekend."

"You always did love to plan ahead didn't you?"
I smiled, putting the last plate in the rack and turning to look at him.

"I love you."
He said taking my face into his hands.

"I love you too Iz."
I smiled, connecting our lips to a sweet kiss.

So, again I threw this together over a period of days. Not the best, but it sounded better in my head. Also, I am trying to work on the part two to my last Nikki imagine. Let me know if you have any ideas and I will try to work it into the idea I currently have.
