"You've got to be shitting me."

"The news says it's not supposed to snow for another few hours."
I called from the kitchen.

"June, look out your window."
Duff yelled from the living room.

"Wh- oh."
I paused, seeing the ground covered by at least two inches of snow.

"It's a fucking Christmas blizzard."
Duff said, venturing into the kitchen.

"Y'know. If you want to risk driving home then now would probably be the best time."
I aid seriously, looking over at Duff.

"Drive? In this shit? June, we can't even see your fence, much less anything more then ten feet away."
Duff said, still looking out the window.

"Well, you're stuck here then."
I shrugged, going back to making hot chocolate.

"Good thing I didn't have plans then, huh."
He joked.

"Wanna go change and put on a movie?"
I suggested.

"Yeah, you still have my sweats right?"

"Bottom drawer on the left."
I answered, stirring my mixture.

"Thanks, bug."
Duff smiled softly, before turning and heading into my bedroom.

I hummed "I'll Be Home for Christmas" while pouring hot chocolate into our mugs, placing a few marshmallows in each. I set both down in the living room on the coffee table before going into my bedroom to change.

"Hot cocoa's on the coffee table."
I said softly.

"Thanks, I'll go put on Rudolph for you."
Duff said softly, heading into the living room.

"Actually, Duff, will you start the fire?"
I asked, grabbing some sweats from my drawer.

"Yeah, bug. Everything still where it was?"

"Yeah, everything's still there. Thanks, Duff."
I said gratefully. Duff nodded with a kind smile and made his way back to the living room. I quickly changed into my sweats and threw my hair into a bun. I slipped on my slippers and ventured into the living room, met with a warm fire, Rudolph in the dvd player, and my best friend on my couch.

"Got it all set up I see."
I joked, sitting on the couch next to Duff.

"Mhm. Thanks for the hot chocolate."
He smiled.

"You're welcome."

The two of us got comfortable on the couch, covered by a throw blanket with the heat from the fire radiating against us. We watched two Christmas movies before the electricity went out during the third one.

"Well, good thing you have a fireplace."
Duff joked, throwing another log on the fire.

"Bad thing is, it'll only be warm in here."
I sighed, getting up and grabbing extra blankets.

"Do you wanna move your couch bed out?"
Duff asked.

"We probably should."
I nodded.

The two of us quickly moved my coffee table off to one side and set up the pull out couch. I grabbed all of the pillows off of my bed while Duff laid out all of the blankets we could find. We laid down and cuddled close together, trying to conserve all the heat we could.

"Remind me to go back to my heater not run by electricity."
I joked.

"I told you not to switch, but you wouldn't listen."
Duff reminded.

"Yeah, yeah, I know."

"Besides don't act like you don't like having me in your bed."
Duff laughed, wiggling his eyebrows.
