Fluff and Smut

🎸

"Please, Bug. It's for Homecoming. You're not going to the dance."
Duff reasons from his head in my lap.

"B-but. You know I don't go to parties."
I said, playing with his hair.

"I know, but what if I teach you how to kiss afterward."
He bargains.

"Duffy, that isn't even fair."
I whined, smiling and blushing like an idiot.

"Sure it is. You get to go to a party and learn to kiss. And I get to show off my pretty best friend."
Duff smiles.

"I guess."

So here we are, my sister, who just so happened to come home from college this weekend, helping me get dressed.

"This?"
She asked, holding up a crop top.

"I'm just going to be Duff's arm candy. I don't need to look like a whore."
I reason.

"You need to at least look decent."
She deadpans.
I rolled my eyes and let out a sigh, knowing I won't be putting anything comfortable on.

"Who's flannel is this?"
She asks, pulling one of Duff's flannels out of my closet.

"Duff's. Why can't I just wear that? It's the middle of October, it's gonna be cold, and it's black and white. School colors, homecoming, it could work."
I tried to reason.

"You cannot wear a flannel out!"
She exclaims, making it sound like I've just committed murder.

"Well, I'm going to. Thank you! Get out!"
I said, pushing my sister out of my room.

I sighed and decided to just put on black jeans, brown vans, and Duff's Eagles t-shirt. I decided just to leave my hair down and just curl the ends. I just on mascara, lip gloss, and earrings.
I heard a car honk from outside, and I ran down the stairs, told my parents and siblings bye, and dashed out the door.

"Can we get out of here before my sister tries to change what I'm wearing?"
I asked as soon as I closed the door to Duff's pickup.

"You look great. Is that my shirt?"
He questions, pulling out of my driveway.

"Yeah, I found it in my closet. Oh, that reminds me, I have like three of your flannels."
I laughed.

"Yeah, I know. You can keep them. I have more."
He said, waving me off.

"By the way, Mom said they'll be out of the house until tomorrow sometime. Told me they were going to a party, and my sister's going to spend the night with her friends."

"In other words, you have the house to yourself?"
Duff asked.

"Yeah. Wanna stay with me? Know I get creeped out."
I said, looking out the window, realizing we were getting closer to the party.

"Yeah, Bug, I'll stay with you. Pretty sure Mom and Dad got invited to that same party."

"Probably."
I said, shrugging my shoulders.

"Ready to go?"
Duff asked, turning to me.

"Um. Yeah."
I said, fidgeting with the rings he gave me.

"Hey, you'll be fine. I'll be by you all night. We're gonna be here for two hours at max."
He said, holding my hands in his to keep me from fidgeting.

I nodded, and we got out before heading to the party. It was full-blown chaos.
Drinks, solo cups, food, toilet paper, people, everywhere.
I stood closer to Duff, and he grabbed my hand, giving it a comforting squeeze.
