The Ranch| Chapter 29

Chapter 30:

I wake up in the cabin I have for a week. Without Jonathan sadly. He's still in Chicago. Im in Missippi for Shooting and my Beautiful Maines(horses). We all get a week off between episodes. I wanted to stay and see my babies.

I grabbed my tea, and open texts from Jon.

please come BACK" He texted at 2:30 am central time.

"Please..." He texted a mintue after.

"What'd I do?" He asked a text later.

"Whast I Due" He texted after that. Oh god. He was drunk.

I replied soon. Soon baby" I pressed 'send' and smiled.

Grabbing the blue jeans, and my long white shirt with a plaid shirt. Making sure my riding boots, were properly on my friend Allison greeted me. "Ready to go?" She asks. I nod my head.

"This is how we roll" We sing on the top of our lungs driving through the mountains.

We reach the ranch and walk towards the stalls.

"Babe...." Jon texts. Rolling my eyes and replieing "Yes?"

He texts back. "Hi" I grin and reply "that's all you wanted?"

Laughing at how childish he is at times.
He replies with a simple yes.

"I'm gonna ride my baby. Shooter" I say putting the blanket on him. So it's more comfortable.

"THIS IS SO FUNNN" I scream on the instagram video.

We make our ways through the mountains wilderness. Allison and I sing our favorites. From country to old rock. " Don't stop believing" we sing our last song. Before we spot some guys hiking.

"Hi" I say walking past them. They smile and they ask for a photo and a autograph for there girlfriends. I take one with each of them and one of the guys 'shawn' had his hand a little to low. "Thats It Lets GO. " I say hopping ony horse and sprinting off with shooter.

Making my way back to the ranch and grab my phone and run off into the car. I'm not leaving because he touched me to low. I felt uncomfortable but it makes me sad that jonathan isn't here.

"Hey again" he says getting incredibly close. "Please. Stop" I say getting scared. "Awe. Are you scared?" He asks laughing. He opens the door and reaches his hand on my upper thigh.

"Shawn!" His friend Alex screams. A Russian accent obvious.
"Let's go!" He screams. Alex comes closer and sees who I am. "Dani?" He asks chuckling. "It's fucking jonathan toews girlfriend" he laughs. "I'm  sorry for him, he has issues" he says yanking him. "Say hi to jonathan for me" he screams. Nodding and wiping my leg. Not wanting his touch on me.

Breath in. Breath out.

"What happend?!" Allison screams coming in the car. "He touched me" I say crying. She grabs me and pulls me in. "shh" "I'm calling him" she says pulling out my phone. "No! He will make me come back. I don't want to leave yet" I say. She nods. " Breath in. Breath out. " my breathing becomes even. " Let's go" I say . She nods.
Pulling into the driveway of the cabin. We hug goodbye and I run into the cabin. Locking all doors and windows.

*ring ring*

The screen says "the best captain of all time " put in by Patrick kane himself.

"Hello" I say.
"Hello sweetie" he says making me smile.
"Whatcha up to?" He asks.
"Just got back from riding" my voice shaky.
"Whats wrong?" He asks his voice getting serious.
"Nothing" I say.
"No your not" he says.
"Something happend today" I say. I hear him sigh.
"What. Happend. "
"Well while Allison and I were riding riding we met a guy. Then he ended up following me to the car. And touched me" I say.

"Who" he asks.
"I don't know. All I know that his best friend is alex" I say.
"Alex who" he asks.
"Alex ovechkin" I say.
"Oh god " he says.
"It was ok. He got him off me" I say. Nothing.
"Are you ok?" He asks. "Yes. Very " I say.

We hang up after saying I love you's and goodbyes.

I lay on my queen sized bed and smile.

Smiling. Smiling it's what I do most now a days. It's what I do most. It's what I love. Because I love someone. Who is always there for me no matter what. I smile because of him. I am grateful and always will be.
