(Song: Someday by Time Will Tell)
The pushing...The shoving...The screaming...You could feel the shortness of breath, the panic beginning to rise in front of you. Coming had been a bad idea. You tried to reach over for your best friend, grab her hand to alert her about what was inevitably going to happen.
But they continued to push... They continued to shove... They continued to scream... The sounds, their words drowning away your own heavy breathing...your panicked words.
You knew you had to get away but you just didn't know how, they didn't let you move. You were caught in the middle of the mob and you had no clue how to get the much needed air you needed. Your vision was getting blurry, white hot flashes of light making your head hurt; everything sounding ten times louder.
"Hey! Everybody move away!" Somebody screamed.
"She looks so pale." Another voice joined in.
"Like a deer caught in headlights." Another spoke.
"I said to get away." You felt the hands on your shoulders, guiding you away from the crowd. And then the burst of fresh air hitting your face. Your eyes filling with tears as you tried to calm down your racing heart. "Just breathe..." He whispered, his voice soft. His accent unmistakeable.
"Here is some water..." One of the earlier voices came back and said. You could hear the female voices things. They were hushed now but they were all there, watching...judging.
Attention seeker... Are they really falling for this? She's probably one of their groupies. You heard them say, hot tears falling down your face as you struggled to breathe.
"Calm down babe." He said again, his arms wrapping around you this time. His face on your neck and holding you close.

That had all happened exactly a year ago. After you managed to calm down in his arms, he had his security team bring you into their bus and wait for him there. Now a year later you couldn't believe you were sitting back stage, watching him as they sound checked for one of their shows. You knew what they said about you, about the two of you. And as much as you wanted to pretend it didn't bother you, it did. It bothered you every day. You couldn't help but look for it all.
Your eyes watered as that sick feeling sunk into your stomach. You got to your feet and began to walk away from the stage and towards the back exit. You heard his footsteps running behind you, the boy's protests echoing through the microphones.
Just like that his arms were wrapped around your body, his head on your shoulder. His arms pulled you closer before his lips peppered over the skin of your neck.
"I'm here... Remember that." He whispered, his lips close to your ear now. "I knew something was wrong from the minute you woke up this morning." And just like that day a year ago, in his arms you felt all of your worries and stress simply melt away.
