A new city, a new home and the worst part is that you weren't only a few thousand miles from your family but also from your boyfriend. It was hard and after a few days of unpacking and starting your new job. you two set up skype date. It had been his idea. His way of being there when his work wouldn't allow him to.

That day you left home early, got your hair done and had set up your living room in a romantic candle lit mood to see Calum, even if it was through a computer screen. You keep checking your phone until the time comes when you're both supposed to login. You sit down and turn on your laptop. Your hands are shaking as you type in your username and password. Naturally you messed up twice before yo got in. Thankfully with a few seconds to spare. You chew on your lip as you wait.

You wait... And you wait...

Where was he. You text him but there is no answer. You lean back against the sofa with a sigh. Was he seriously standing you up?

You were afraid to leave the laptop unattended so you stay up waiting for him to answer or login but he never does. Your heart felt heavy as the hours passed and you realized that he wasn't going to log on.

You stand and turn off all of the candles and curl up on the sofa, staring at the screen in case he came on. Not long after, you fall asleep on sofa, with your laptop wide open on table. You don't hear when hours later the front door to your apartment opens and someone comes inside. Their bags dropped by the door before he sits besides the sofa. Calum's soft hands caress your cheek softly waking you up.

"I'm so sorry... I was supposed to be here on time but my flight got delayed." He spoke the words slowly, probably knowing you were still half asleep. You blinked a few times before you realized it was really him in front of you.

"I thought you'd stood me up..." You whispered. He leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss to your lips.

"Never, baby." He said, caressing your cheek once again. "I'm really sorry..." He apologized again, making you smile as you leaned up for another one of his kisses.
