(Song: Everlasting Love by Fifth Harmony)
You had been coming into the same coffee shop for two months now, ever since you moved in. And every day, you saw him there. He sat on his own to have his coffee and toast; before he disappeared just like that. You didn't know his name, you didn't know anything about him yet you couldn't stop thinking about him.
Every morning all you could think on your way there was if he would be there having his usual coffee and toast. Would he switch it up and have a muffin instead? Yet, you never even dared to say a word to him. Exchanged smiles. Tentative looks... But nothing else.
You secretly wanted to make a move. Wished he would. And neither of you did. Did he think about you as well?
Today was no different, as you walked towards the coffee shop you were overwhelmed with thoughts of him. The way his lips curl up into a smile, his teeth poking out. The way he always looks so fresh and polish, even when it is morning and he hasn't had his coffee yet. But as you walked into the shop you realized... He wasn't there?
Where was your blue eyed, blonde haired mystery boy? You looked around you as you ordered and then went to sit down by the window like you always did. He was always here before you... You couldn't help the frown that took over your features.
In silence and disappointment you began to drink your coffee. Your hands wrapped around the warm cup as you stared out at the moving city.
"Is this seat taken?" A man with a very thick Australian accent asked from behind you. Your eyes raising to meet the blue eyes that stared back at you as he sat down next to you anyways, without waiting for you to answer.
"It's completely available..." You whispered softly, a smile forming without you being able to control it. To your surprise he smiled too, his breathtaking unforgettable smile.
"For two months I've been wondering if it was." He said softly, his eyes never leaving yours as he wrapped his hands around his coffee cup as well. "I'm Luke... Luke Hemmings." He said and just like that the conversation started and it continued until the two of you were forced to leave because of your schedules two hours later. But the unsaid promise of tomorrow was there and your heart skipped a beat at the thought.
