“I remember trying not to stare the night that I first met you. And I remember standing in your front porch taking 45 minutes to kiss you goodnight. We've come so far since that day. The truth is that today, it has been 9 years since I met you back when we were both still teenagers. Back when neither of us even knew what love was… I hadn’t said it, but I thought I loved you then.  And life had a funny way of giving us different paths but when I saw you again, it was like the first time. I remember taking you back to right where we first met, how surprised you were. I remember there were people around but I didn’t care, I just got down on one knee and I told you I loved you. That is why we are here today and baby, I can’t believe the way I feel about you. In that moment and right now I can see our whole lives ahead of us. I can see a baby on the way, I can see our hair turning gray and I see us together. I love baby, today by saying I do you’ve made me the happiest man alive.” Luke finished saying, everyone in the reception cheering and applauding at his touching words.

You could feel the tears escaping your eyes as he finished his wedding toast. The two of you hadn’t stopped looking at each other the whole time he spoke. He made his way towards you and cupped your cheeks and kissed you sweetly in front of everyone.

Hours later his words were still echoing in your head, every moment spent between you since then replaying in slow motion. You laced your fingers through his and looked at the man who was laying next to you in your wedding bed tonight.

“I love you…” You whispered softly as he brought your hand to his lips to kiss it tenderly. “How lucky did I get marrying you.” Luke smiled right back at you and leaned forward to kiss your lips again; his lips lingering on top of yours before he spoke.

“I’m still the lucky one, who knew that after touring the world and seeing so much you were still the only girl for me.” He whispered before his lips crashed onto yours once again.
