Every summer your family makes this huge BBQ where they invite everyone and they eat and dance the night away. It was something you looked forward to every year, especially because you got to see all of your extended family and everyone got to catch up.

This year you had something else to look forward to. After dating Ashton Fletcher Irwin for a year (three months, two weeks and a day but who is counting) he would be meeting your entire family. He had been over to dinner with your parents whenever he was on break and took a much needed Holiday to visit you.

You weren't surprise to see the way everyone instantly fell in love with him as well and soon enough he wasn't standing by your side awkwardly joining in your conversations but he was over by the BBQ with your uncle and grandfather talking about last night's basketball game and then he was running around with your little cousin, their giggles filling the room.

No matter what he did your eyes followed him everywhere, your heart skipping a beat about how easily he fit in. It was like he had known them for years. He treated everyone that way, looked at everyone that way. It was one of the many things you loved about him. You couldn't help it but fall even more in love with him as he interacted with everyone.

And from across the room his eyes found yours as he stood beside your grandmother. Her hand was on his arm, talking to him and looking at him as fondly as she did everyone else in your family. You smiled at him, blowing him a sweet kiss that he caught with his hand like the dork he was. Before he looked away his lips mouthed a quick 'I love you' before he said something else to your grandmother. Just like that, your heart in a puddle.
