This is also from my first book as well. Enjoy, this version.

Warning: Mention of suicide

Growing up, you had a way with telling how people felt. For instance, you associated the color of a person's aura with their emotions. For instance, a red aura meant they were angry, yellow was happy, sky blue was sad, green was sick, white was hungry. But there was a color that you never knew what it stood for. It was black. And your childhood friend had a black aura emanating around them. But you soon found out what it was.

The day after you saw your best friend with their black aura, they just stopped showing up to class. It wasn't til your principal entered the classroom with a sky blue aura, as she announced that your friend had committed suicide the night before. And that when you realized that black, meant suicidal.

Growing up, you're... Gift, if we can call it that, only grew. You started seeing more colors and you became immune to what those colors meant. Now being happily married to the love of your life, Kim Mingyu, you've seen even more colors. Pink resembles horny or lustful, brown is hungry, lime green is confused, hot pink was overwhelmed.

Like any other ordinary day, you were in the kitchen making dinner while your husband tried helping your second son Hoshi, with his homework. Your youngest son Dino, just staring at them both.

"Do you understand now Hoshi?" Mingyu had asked for the nth time today.

You turned around and saw that the expression matched the color of his aura; lime green. He was staring at your husband as if he was speaking some sort of alienated language. You couldn't help but burst into a fits of laughter as you Hoshi's aura was lime green and Mingyu's aura was red. And then there's Dino, who had a white aura. White meaning he's in his own little world.

"Hoshi, do you understand this?" Mingyu asked.

"Huh? Oh yeah" Hoshi said as his lime green aura still radiated around his body.

"Hoshi, what do you not understand? Mingyu, can you go take that marker away from Dino before he draws all over the wall again" you asked.

"Dino!" Mingyu shouted as he went and took the marker away "No! Don't draw on the wall!"

"Okay let me see what I can do" you said as you grabbed his paper.

You began to explain what he had to do and you watched as his aura went from lime green to a turquoise, which meant he was relieved.

"Thank you, at least somebody could help me with my homework" Hoshi said sassily.

"I'm an idol, not a teacher" Mingyu said as he popped the back of Hoshi's head, making him whine.

"Enough you two" you said as you let a little giggle escape your lips.

"It was him" both Mingyu and Hoshi said at the same time as they pointed at each other.

You continued to finish up dinner, your lips forming a smile, as you listened to the two of them bicker.

"Oh Dino, what would I do without you?" you asked as Dino stared at you, his thumb occupying his mouth.

You noticed that your eldest son had pulled into the driveway, as you finished up with dinner.

"Perfect timing. Set the table you two. Joshua just pulled up" you announced as you turned around to them still bickering.

"What kinda excuse is that? You don't know simple math because you're an idol? Dad, do you know uncle Wonwoo helps Vernon with his homework, and he's an idol too" Hoshi threw in his face.

"That's enough you two! Set the table or you both won't be eating" you announced again, watching as their aura switched from red to brown in an instant.

The door opened and then was closed, telling you that your son was inside. You had announced that dinner was ready, just be seated as you bring everything to the table. However, you felt something was off because usually, Joshua would make his presence known by screaming: "I'm home!" But, that wasn't the case. You brought almost everything to the table, as you called out to Joshua to come sit down. You heard his footsteps dragging against the tiled floor. You brought out the last plate to place on the table, but when you entered the dining room, your footsteps came to a halt, and you somehow managed to let the platter fall to the ground, as it shattered into bits and pieces. In an instant, Mingyu had rushed to your side, Dino crying, and Hoshi began to try and clean the mess up. You looked at your husband, to see his lips move. Only to hear nothing but a loud ringing. Not a single word was heard, despite the fact his lips were moving. You turned to your eldest, tears began to build up in your eyes, as you watched him stand there. But by bit, the ringing began to subside and you were able to faintly hear your husband frantically ask whether you were okay or not. But, you couldn't help but cry.

"Speak to me baby. I need to know if you're hurt or not" Mingyu frantically asked as he inspected your body.

"Appa? Are you okay?" Hoshi asked as he cleaned the mess up the best he could.

Your vision was blurred out by your tears; however, there was no mistaking it. It was clear as daylight. There standing in the dining room was your eldest son Joshua, his slim body emanating a black aura.
