It was a Sunday night

It was a Sunday night. You had your windows opened, because for some weird reason it was always insanely hot inside of your room, but cold everywhere else. Doing this usually would have your mom up in a frenzy about how somehow the cold air from your room seeped through your door and into the rest of the house. Which is what your mother always blamed the cold on.

Headphones in, and spinning in your chair trying to figure out how to do your Science assignment. Which was definitely harder than it had to be. Mainly because with science, you had the basic stuff, then you throw math equations in and suddenly all meaning is lost. You figured that it would've been easier to take a missing grade. However, something wasn't letting you put down the pencil.

You leaned back in your chair and looked towards the door. You did always have one option. Probably not the smartest one, but it was worth a shot. "KEISUKE!" After calling his name, you sat up again and put your arms on the desk. Within a few moments you heard footsteps coming from behind the door and then a large slam from it opening so fast it hit the wall.

Then an annoyed shout came from somewhere else upstairs. "CAN YOU TWO PLEASE CALM DOWN? I'M ON THE PHONE!" It was your mother. You had a good feeling she had hit whoever was on the phone with a 'hold on give me a moment' and then muted herself before yelling.

"Sorry mom!" The two of you said back together.

Your brother stepped into your room with a skeptical gaze, "What did you want?" He scanned your room for anything suspicious because you rarely ever called him into your room. His eyes stopped on the piece of paper on your desk and picked it up. "Hell no."

"I didn't even ask yet-"

"Hell. No." He repeated. He carefully turned the paper over and what he saw on the other side almost gave him a heart attack. "It's... double sided?! Y/N have you lost your mind? What subject even is this? Math?"

"Science." You corrected him.

"That's one of my worst ones." He put the paper on top of your head for no reason at all. Just left it there and started walking around the room. "I'm not as stupid as I look, but I'm pretty hopeless when it comes to science."

"Useless." You rolled your eyes and took the paper from your head. "Don't we have the same teacher though? What did you do for yours?"

He shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know. I didn't do it." He pointed to his head. "I don't do homework. All my knowledge is up here, not on a scrap piece of paper. Who needs numbers and letters to determine how smart you are?"

Keisuke was right. Grades were just counterfeit anyway. But still, you only liked to keep your grades up because of your mother. Same thing with him especially since he struggled with school. You turned your eyes to your phone and thought for a minute. "Someone in the groupchat must be smart enough to help me." You picked it up and opened it up to your messages.
