You were pouring cat food into Soba's bowl while pushing his head back away because she was trying to lick the food in the air before it reached her dish. "Girl, move out the way for a couple seconds." You mumbled at the greedy cat.
At last she had enough food and you backed up for her to eat. Your stomach rumbled, reminding you of your own hunger and you went to retrieve something to snack on. The options were slim since you and your mom had to go back to the store soon. But you made do.
Before you could fully pick out what you wanted to eat, your phone started ringing from the table. Closing the fridge you walked over and picked it up after reading the contact. The contact that belonged to Mikey.
Mikey usually never calls people. It was like he had a vendetta against dialing people's numbers. He was more of a texting type of guy. Tapping, you lifted the phone up to your ear and began your hunt for a snack again. "Hello?"
"Y/N!" He said a little too enthusiastically. "I didn't think you'd pick up."
Wedging the phone between your ear and shoulder you picked out a yogurt container. "I don't just ignore people... all the time at least."
"Mhmm..." He skeptically said. "Well I actually need you to come to headquarters. Today."
"My first official meeting? Should I be excited?"
"Depends." He laughed. "The captains, plus Hakkai, Chifuyu and you will be there."
You paused while grabbing a spoon, "Hakkai, Chifuyu and I?" You echoed.
"Yup! I heard about Takemitchy getting the shit knocked out of him by Taiju. And I don't take that lightly. You and Hakkai are witnesses. Chifuyu is Takemitchy's vice."
So that's the reason. You hadn't thought the first time you'd be called to headquarters would be because you were confronted by another gang. "Alright... What time should I be over?"
"1pm."
You nearly choked when you looked at the time, "That's in less than an hour."
"Well duh, that's why I called you in advance. You got a ride? I can send someone to get you."
You thought back to the motorcycle keys sitting on your desk in your room. It wasn't like you had no idea how to drive it, you had the basics of it. Keisuke had taught you before, but you just didn't care for it at the time. Now that you think about it, it might be necessary to stop avoiding it.
