The time difference between Tokyo and New York was 13 hours, while the flight was around 14 hours. While your mom couldn't teleport over here, for some reason you felt you had little time before she appeared at your doorstep. Unfortunately for you, by the time her flight actually landed, it'd probably be like 3 in the morning.

Since that was a little while away, you had one stop you wanted to make before you went home. So that's where you are now.

You sighed and leaned your head back, "you know, it's kind of crazy. I never actually assumed I was wife material." It was a funny thought inside your head, and you never thought about it that much as a teen. Definitely not in the forefront of your memory.

The breeze hit your face and it was almost mimicking a response. However, it was more of a puff, like somebody had blown at you. A mocking... breeze.

"Somehow you're still an ass." You rolled your eyes and mumbled. "But I guess even in death, you don't change." You shifted the way you were sitting up against the stone. "Anyway, I figured I'd stop by because we did the whole telling close family first. Can't be a jerk and not include you on the list, Kei."

Even though marriage rarely crossed your mind while he was around, you obviously always hoped he'd be there to witness it. At the time, you had no reason to assume your brother wouldn't show. But his soul had been resting in the same spot for 13 years now.

However, you had no tears left to cry. Feelings, yes of course. But not actual tears.

"But I guess I should thank you for introducing me to your crazy ass friend group." You stood up and brushed the dirt from your pants. "But when I come back here, I guess I'll be Y/N Kawata... wow."

While you walked back to your car you thought about how when you say it out loud, it just feels so much more real.

As you parked in your designated space for your house, you looked and saw there was an extra car in the driveway. It definitely was too early to be your mom, but the car did look familiar. You had to assume it was one of your friends.

But there was someone in particular that you think it would be.

You unlocked the front door and stepped inside holding Chi-Chi in your other arm and could almost immediately hear a conversation being held between two people. At first you thought it could've been important, but soon realized it definitely wasn't.

"I told you I was not chaperoning a birthday party."

"And I told you that I just needed your help! Please, it's tomorrow at like 12!"

"No."

"Souya, I'm begging you!"

Whatever it was, had Nahoya complaining. Still. You heard him talking about the same thing yesterday too. They were off in the kitchen it sounded like, so you didn't see them yet. Soba however, had already made her way over to the front door to greet you.
