"Viona! Viona! Wake up! You will miss breakfast!"
Huh?
I opened my eyes to see a familiar ceiling yet I didn't recognize it as the house that I purchased for permanent stay.
It's her voice... I missed it for so long... Is this reality?
My hands extended toward the source of the voice. It was warm and comfortable, like a gentle blanket. It also smelled like lavender.
"Please don't go, Trix."
I slightly rested my face on the silky skin.
"What are you talking about? I'm still here."
Fully awake, I pulled myself off the body in front of me. A girl with long, navy hair was looking at me with confusion. My lips were quivering to say one thing.
"Trix...Is that... you?"
"Geez, are you still dreaming?" The girl cupped my face gently and said, "It's me. Trix, the girl who will be the same age as you for the next two days, did you forget me?"
Not believing her, I touched my hair hesitantly.
She was right. My long hair becomes shorter now, the exact length when I was younger-
"Did you say... My birthday is in two days?"
"Yes, today is the 6th of May. Are you still asleep?"
"Ye-ye-yeah, thank you for reminding me..." I looked away to hide my rose cheek.
So, I was back again two days before my birthday. Not much, but that's enough to prevent the fire from existing.
"Viona?"
"Ah... sorry," I dodged her question nervously, "Can you hug me? I need proof that this is not a dream."
"No, you're nearly eighteen," Trix replied, "we should stop hugging each other."
"But, it's not my eighteenth yet..." I've sulked because of her rejection, "so we still have time to do it."
"All right then," Trix said as she sighed and opened her arms.
"Come here, you, spoiled princess."
Without hesitation, I jumped into her open arms and snuggled onto her shoulder. Her hand caressed my head softly.
"We should stop doing this sooner."
"I know, Ms. Independent."
We're doing this until Trix scolded me into preparing myself for breakfast after sixminutes. Even if it was for a short time, at least, I got my portion of hugs for today.
