The minutes I declared a duel between us, my hands couldn't stop attacking Trix with all the skills I learnt for years. I even used fourth and fifth tier magic to catch up their pace. It was amazing to see someone moves so fast that they could vanished into thin air, yet there's no indication of being breathless from them. On the other side, I was the opposite of them. The more mana and energy I used, the more it was hard for me to breath.

The wavering silver eyes were watching me from afar while deflecting and dodging my attempted hits. They even started to float per a chance, leaving me on the ground after pushing the fire ball to the side. My gazes glared at above me as I preparing for the next spell then I smiled angrily. "Were you thinking that I couldn't reach that high, Trix?"

Their expression changed. Seeing they hesitated to answer my question, it made me laugh a little inside. Mischievously, I jumped while placing an invisible steep under my foot while whispering the wind spell to stay afloat. When I reached the same height as them, my smile grew bigger as I slightly leaned toward them.

"See? It's easy for me to catch you up." I taunted as my hands made a light sword that blazing with fire, then swung it at them. "Don't you want to be on the offensive for once?"

Trix gritted teeth, then shook their head while blocking the sword with medium defensive layer as both of their hands pushed it back. They were struggling that I could see a drop of water fell from their cheeks, a different sight from their usual flawless looks at summer. I continued cornering the devil with my attack, ramming them to the altar of the hall.

"Viona! Stop! Please... You will be over exhausting yourself!" Trix pleaded as they kept defending themselves from mine.

They're right. The adrenalin made my heartbeat going too fast and becoming more painful to move, yet this only motivated me even further. I kept slashing their defensive layer without caring anything, except for the unique expression on my opponent. It was funny to see that prideful devil before becoming a mess version of my former love in front of me.

Unfortunately, this fun needs to be ended. Thank goodness... The circle already is below me. So, let's chase Trix out from here.

My whole body teleported onto behind them. When they turned, my arm swayed the blunt side of the sword on them as strong as possible. Instantly, Trix blocked it. But, because of their unreadiness, the hit was hard on their barrier that it sent them away from me.

The silver haired devil was slammed in the air until the black wings stopped them. Trix tried to catch breath as they wiped their face. One of their silver eyes winced while staring sharply at me, almost tightened my heart. When I thought there's nothing to talk about between us, the pale lips let out a sigh.

"Viona... I admit that you're strong so could you— No. Could we stop... fighting? Please, Viona. You should get out from here..."

Hearing their pleas, my tired mouth turned into a smirk. Trix never plead in front of me, they had too much pride for that. It's like I found a lost ancient song in the middle of this era. There's a sense of superior inside of me right now that I couldn't help to stare down at the glistening silver eyes.

A chuckle escaped from mine as I lowered the light sword toward the ground, "yeah. You're right. We should end this sooner."

"Then- "

Without warning, I stabbed my chest with the sword then let it out forcefully. A fresh blood slowly came out, painting the clothes that I only wore for once. I wiped the blood, only to find that it still had the same color as before. When I took a glance at the devil, the hopeful face turned into despair one rapidly.

"Huh? What's wrong, Trix?" I smirked while tilting my head, "did you not expect- "

Before I finished my sentence, a splash of blood came out of my mouth. My vision gradually turned blurry as I slumped in the air. The struggle to stay awake became vividly clear as the blue sky. Slowly but surely, the spell on me gradually loosened. The next thing I knew, I already gazed upward as the ceiling of the hall filling the view of mine. The wind gently passed me by as the invisible force dragged me down. The sight of mine eventually gave up until a voice woke me up, screaming from above.

"VIONA!"

I slightly opened my eyes to see the silver haired devil already went down with the tears falling down from theirs. Their pale hands were trying to grab mine in panic. As if, they wanted to save me. Yet, I didn't have the urge to satisfy them anymore. The falling ended when my back touching the ground. Strangely enough, it wasn't painful like the first fall from the tree in my childhood. For some reason, this took me back to the aftermath of that accident.

That time, I was crying and crying till night because my leg was broken and I had to stay on bed for weeks. Matron and Nanny nursed me while changing the bandage. Elysia only came to visit me when she was bored and Eden sometimes brought me sweets to cheer me up. Trix... I don't remember much of what she did for me at that time. But...

I blurry gazed at the pale face, realizing something wet dropping on my face. They're from the same silver eyes I loved and hated at the same time. Trix hugged me, closing the gap between our faces. Her cold hand soothed me, wiping the bruise and blood from my cheeks while the other one holding mine tightly. Any bad taste feeling I had before suddenly subsided, leaving only the bitter part and a realization.

Maybe, this was also what she did to the young me without wanting anyone to see her...

My mouth curled up as I caressed the pale cheek for the last time. When she noticed it, Trix leaned to my inner palm. My heartbeat quickened weakly. Somehow, the silver haired devil was no longer around. Only me and my one-sided love inside the blazing room right now.

It's really unfair from her to mess my feeling like this. Yet, I couldn't bring myself to hate her even if I wanted to...

An idea came up to me. I gripped her black dress gently to make her notice me.

"Trix, if you could listen to me right now, please do it for me."

As if she heard me, Trix put her ear closer to my lips while her silver eyes softening. Feeling safe, I continued pouring my hidden emotions.

"It's unfortunate that this was the ending between us. Yet, there's something I need to tell you before I go..."

A warm tear was coming out from my eyes.

"If I were told to describe my feelings toward you, it's like a black and white on both of the same coin. I wished that I gave you that coin sooner in this life... but... please forgive me for not doing it until the end... Good bye and I hope you regretting this with me, Trix."

With a frozen smile, I put my hand down beside me. I could feel something leisurely severed my bound to this world. My memories surged like a train, passing by within the view. From when I was born to the past adult version of me, everything became nostalgic. The theatre of the past soon ended, leaving me in the darkness. Later, a sudden red light fully engulfed me, then disappeared into thin air. Everything went black for once more. That was when I realized something.

I couldn't go back anymore...
