Chapter 22

*Becca's P.O.V*

I woke up that morning to a call from Detective Constable Smith about the incident at goose fair.

"Hello. Miss Chambers?"

"Yes."

"We have found you who you were looking for. The boys who attacked both you and Dan have been arrested and are in custody. At the moment the case is still being looked at but hopefully, we can bring these boys to justice."

"Oh, that's great news! I'm so glad you've found them. Do we have to go to court or?..."

"No, you won't have to. The boys have already been held up in jail and they don't have a sentence yet. We don't need anymore evidence from you or Daniel. We've got everything we need that's why you wouldn't have to come to court. When those boys get their sentences I shall ring again and tell you the news."

"Okay. Thank you very much, D.C"

"Thank you for your time, Miss Chambers."

*END OF CALL*

Yes! This is great. Hopefully those boys will get sent down to prison for what they did to my Dan.

Oh no. Here we go again. I could feel the sick rising up and making its way to my throat. I quickly ran to the bathroom, put my hair in a very high ponytail and threw my guts up. I'm really sick and tired of throwing up every morning. I'm actually getting used to the morning routine now. I wake up around 6:30 waiting to throw up and by 6:45 yesterdays dinner is flushed down the toilet and half way down a sewer.

I cleaned myself up and got myself ready for school like I do every morning. Mum made me 2 banana and peanut butter sandwiches and I left the house to meet Dan at the bus stop.

"Girls! I've got news." I said to to Laura and Alexis.

"What is it?" Laura asked.

"Well, I know this is going to come to you as a massive shock but...I'm pregnant!"

"Oh. My. Gosh. No. Fucking. Way." Said Laura. Being typical Laura, going over the top.

"Really?" Alexis finally asked.

"Yes really! I took my test yesterday and I'm already 4 weeks pregnant."

"Well congratulations, honey!" Alexis said.

"No way did you just say that! You never congratulate anyone on ANYTHING." Laura said shocked. I was shocked as well.

'Yeah, well she's my best friend, of course I'm going to congratulate her on something like this. She's having a baby for goodness sake, Laura. What did you expect me to? Just sit there and say 'well I hope it dies'? I may be a bitch but I'm not heartless."

"Well no of course I didn't expect you to say something like that. I'm sorry."

"It's alright. Come on, bring it home you two!" And she spread her arms nice and wide so we could enjoy a nice big hug.

"Aww. Love you girls, you're the best!" I whispered.

"Aww, love you guys too!" Alexis added.

"Yeah yeah, enough of the hugging. You bitches are crushing me! But yeah I love you all too!" Laura pulled away first, gave us both a wink and left to go to form.

3 weeks later

Now I'm 7 weeks pregnant with my baby and I'm starting to show. I'm dying to know whether it's going to be a baby girl or boy or not. I think it's time I go for a scan.

I arranged a appointment for tomorrow with my Dr to have a ultrasound. I'm so excited! I would've liked Dr Rosavelt or Dr Carter to be my doctor to do the ultrasound but because Dr Carter and Alison are going out he's not allowed to have anything to do with me or Dan or Alison when he's working.

The next day (Monday)

So todays the day! Todays the day whether I get to find out whether I'm going to have a baby boy or girl or not. Unfortunatley I've got to go through that daily routine again. Of getting up and being sick and then eating all over again.

My mum wanted to take the morning off but her boss wouldn't allow her too even though it is something quite important so it's just going to be me and Dan going alone.

I met Dan at City Hospital and he was having second thoughts on whether we should find out it's sex or whether we should wait and it should be a surprise.

"Dan, look. We've talked about this. Why can't we just see so then we will be prepared?"

"No! I want to keep it a surprise so then it won't be expected."

"Yeah, but we need to buy clothes in and that sort of thing. It would be a waste of money to be buying things for a girl and a boy."

"True. I still think it would be better to be surprised though.'

"Fine! We will be surprised okay, just to shut you up!"

"Yay! Thanks, babes."

We walked into the hospital, hand in hand, with big grins on our faces. We were led to the materinity ward and a nurse came over to continute the scan. I got onto the bed and pulled up my top a little so you could see my little bump. She put this cold jelly like substance on my belly and rubbed it in. She got a scanner and started rubbing it over my bump. I could see a little something on the screen.

"Aww look. Here's your baby," she pointed to the screen where you could only just make out a little embryo. "Here is the baby's head." She pointed to the screen again.

A smile lit up on Dans face. He was over the moon to find out were having a baby.

"Would you like to find out the sex or would you like a surprise?" She asked.

"Surprise." I said.

"Okay. Well I'll just get a picutre printed out for you."

"Hey wait a minute!" Dan has noticed something. "What's that other blob there?" He pointed to the screen.

"I'm not too sure. Let me take a closer look." The nurse said.

The nurse was looking at the screen and rubbing the scanner around my bump a couple more times to figure out what 'that blob' was.

"No way." She whispered quietly to herself.

"What is it, what is it?!?" Dan asked, absolutley dying to know what it was that he had some how figured out.

"I think - I think." She stuttered.

"You think what?!?" We both shouted in unison.

"Rebecca. Daniel," there was a very long pause. "You're having twins."
