Chapter Nine: Bonnie and Clyde

Campbell's POV

I walk into school with Maddy as we walk down the hallway wearing glasses and hoodies, I stayed with her last night due to the fight with my dad and Nate

"What are you the unibomber" Kat says as she comes over to us, she completely ignored me and keeps talking to Maddy as I scan the hallway and look for Nate

I wanna hurt him for what he did to Maddy so badly but Maddy begged me not to go home and hurt him so I didn't

I feel a hand on my arm causing me to flinch but I relax when I feel the acrylic nails scratch me slightly

"Don't do to much today ok, we don't need any fucking teachers questioning us" Maddy says and I nod and kiss her forehead, she smiles and walks to class and I do the same

I sit in English as the teacher talks but I can't help but feel sweat dripping from my face, it's so hot but I can't take this stiff off, I look at the clock and see that class is hopefully almost over so I can easily go to the bathroom and freshen up

The bell finally rings and I walk out of class and make my way straight to the bathroom and freshen up, I wipe the sweat off of me but soon curse when I see the make up that Maddy put in me come off on the tissue

I look out of the stall and try to see if anyone is there and to my luck no one is, I put my hood up again and walk out of the bathroom to see EMT's coming in with a gurney, I look in horror as they enter into Maddy's classroom

I race over to the classroom to see them putting her in the stretcher

"Wait is she ok" I say as I try to walk over but the teacher holds me back

"Sweetheart they have to take her, she'll be ok" The teacher says but I try to go to Maddy who's being taken care of, as the teacher tries to push me away my hood comes off and the teacher stops and looks at me

Fuck

"Oh sweetheart what happened" She says and I stand there speechless, I'm fucked, I'm so fucked

I go to lie but soon the EMT says something

"Ma'am she has bruising on her neck, where is the principals office" He says and my eyes widen, ok now we're both fucked

"I'll show you and you dear come with me" The teacher says before grabbing me and leading me away from Maddy

We get to the principals office and they sit me down in the chair, I avoid eye contact with the principal

"Campbell would you mind explains your injuries that Ms.Jones and I see on your face" He says and I remain silent

"Please Campbell, I need to know...was it someone you know, was it your father" He says and my eyes dart to him but I look away from him in a panic, I can't have my father go down for this

"No....he didn't hurt me" I say

"Then who did" He says and I stay silent, I can't lie very well and my head is spinning, what is gonna happen with Maddy, is she ok, what if they bring my father here

"Sir...Ms.Perez is also injured, can I send her in" The teacher from earlier says

"Yes send her in please....Ms.Hardin we are not done, I will have to contact your father soon" He says and I start to panic, this is going to go really bad

Maddy walks in and she sees me and I can se the panic fill her eyes too as we both are thinking the same things

"Ms.Perez can you explain to me how you go your injuries" Our Principal says as he sits down

"I'm fine, why is everyone like so dramatic" Maddy says and I shift in my seat

"Madeleine.....your 17 and we need to find out who did this to you....I didn't know you were abused and by law I have to report it....was it your boyfriend Nate Jacobs" He says and Maddy looks to me for comfort and I take her hand instantly as she remains silent

"I will be back....you two stay here" He says before walking out of the office

"Maddy....we're screwed" I say and Maddy looks at me with a vulnerable look

"We are but we have to make sure this shit doesn't go far......for our sake" She says and I rub the top of her hand with my thumb

"No matter what I'll protect you......you have the chance to expose your abuser, I don't so please...tell the truth" I say and she sighs and looks at me defeated

"I can't....I still love him" She says and I feel my heart crack....

"Oh" I say and look away but I feel Maddy's hand on my cheek, she  pulls my face towards her, making me look at her

"But that doesn't mean that I don't want you still" She says and I smile and she rubs my face with her thumb

"I'll protect you my Bonnie" I say lovingly

"I'll protect you my Clyde" She says the same way

We are in a difficult situation but...at least we have each other and we have each other's back

A/n ok well this chapter was very ummmm fucked and well I made it this way for a reason and like it better than my other Euphoria chapter for this episode ( Bonnie and Clyde) and so I hope this one doesn't disappoint and yes it is shorter but that's becaus I can't put in the rest yet
