I lay on my bed for a bit when suddenly I head the door handle shake and move, I smirk as I hear my dad sigh heavily and hear his footsteps leave the door and his bedroom door closes

I grab my keys and my wallet before car fully opening my window, I already put some light things down and so they wouldn't blow things away and set my bed up just in case my dad somehow got into my room
I jump down and land on the grass with a sigh before quickly making my way towards McKay's house and I know what your thinking, I don't like nor ever will like Nate Jacobs so how do I know where his best friend lives

"Well looks like my drug problems should be he least of your worries" She says, she points across the room causing me to look over and see Maddy standing by the sink
I smile and nod to Rue before going over to Maddy, surprisingly I have confidence
"Hey Maddy" I say calmly causing her to turn and look at me with an amused look
"Hey my secret admirer" She says causing me to blush and laugh a bit
"How you been" I say looking into her eyes, damn I'm whipped as fuck
"I've been good, I see you've done good for yourself" She says looking me up and down, I look at her closely and see she's drunk as hell
"Thanks, umm Maddy, do you want a ride home" I say, trying to see if I can get her home safety
"She's good freak" I hear behind Maddy, I look up to see Nate standing shirtless behind her
"Nate leave me alone, your such a dick" Maddy says then walks away, Nate looks towards me and grabs my shirt aggressively
"Leave her alone punk or we're gonna have issues" Nate says with this psycho look in his eyes
"Nah I'm good daddy's boy" I say smirking, he flares his nostrils and soon I'm on the ground already feeling my eye swelling up, so much for coming home without a scratch
"She's mine dork" Nate says before walking outside, I groan as people look at me and some laugh at me
"Hey are you ok baby" I hear a female voice say, I freeze as I a cold chill goes up my spine, I turn around and see someone I never want to see again
"Don't talk to me" I say as my anger flares up, she tilts her head mockingly al,lest with a pout on her face

I slowly back away as fear starts to consume me, I need to get out off her, I run to the front door and beeline out of there, I run as fast as I can as I hear a male voice that I assume is McKay yelling for me
If more it and just run till I make it back to my house, I sneakily climb the side and carefully go into my window while looking around, nothing is touched thankfully, proving my father didn't come in here
I close my window quietly and strip my clothes off and lay down in my bed as I feel my black eye developing, I feel my heart racing as I try to catch my breath and process what just happened, I feel, my eyes grown heavy and I reach for my comfort bear that I had as a child that I still use
I cuddle into it as I feel myself fall asleep and can't help but think
Tomorrow at school is finna be hell
A/n ok well I wrote two chapters in one day so bravo to me, got my hair cut (shout out to my baby for complimenting me😌) and I'm feeling fancy so I hope you like the story so far, this chapter is a little shorter but I hope that's ok I mean it's still about 937 words so we're good
