Campbell's POV
I watch the play happily with Maddy and Kat as Lexi absolutely rips into Cassie a bit and even shares some things I didn't know much about
I laugh as I hear Suze laughing before clapping for Lexi, I look over at Maddy happily and kiss her cheek
"I never knew Cassie was such a.....bitch to Lexi" I say and Maddy nods sadly as we listen to the Cassie look alike talk to some guy on the phone
Flashback to a few days ago
I stand with Maddy as I watch Cassie holding hands with Nate as they walk down the hallway, Cassie peers over to me and waves causing Nate to pull her with him and walks faster
"Well...at least she looks the part...but she could never have what I have" Maddy says before cupping my chin and pulling me into a passionate kiss that I reciprocate immediately
"Don't start something in this hallway baby" I say as I put my hands on her hips and pull her close to me
"Oh my gosh get a room" Kat says and I roll my eyes bore making out with Maddy again
Flashback over
I look over at my girl and smile, I guess she felt my eyes on her since she looks over to me with a smile
"What" Maddy asks curiously, I smile and shake my head
"Nothing just....got so lucky to have you" I say and Maddy smiles and kisses me passionately before looking forward as she lays her head on my shoulder
I smile as a scene with Rue, Lexi and I comes up, it was the conversation we had before high school
I smile as I remember Rue telling us that being cool was overrated basically, that being your own person was better
I loved being with them that day...before my father punched me that day for coming home late...I defended myself for the first time that day
"We talks and laughed for hours that night...I miss those days...it was before my dad left, before Cameron started getting popular and before Jades Dad died.....before Jade got into heavy drugs and before Cameron before a social outcasts and was bullied a lot and before I got inside my head...it was before we grew apart and I started doubting myself every time someone would ask me if Jade was my best friend..let this darkness be a bell tower..and you the bell" Lexi says and I duck my head as sigh heavily
"Did you ever like Rue Campbell" Kat asks and I look at her with a guilty look
"I did she when we were preteens but....left after she rejected me but...I moved on to someone who protected me" I say before looking from Kat to Maddy who had a giant grin on her face
"She fucking deserved it" Maddy says and I smirk
"She got what she deserved" I say before looking to the stage once again
Flashback to the day before the play
"Campbell I'm so fucking proud of you" Maddy says as she lays down on her bed and I chuckle to myself
"Thank you I appreciate that" I say and bow to Maddy causing her to laugh with me
"Seriously that was..amazing...I wish I was there instead of crumbling in my bed thanks to Nate" She says and I chuckle coldly
"Don't worry I'll handle that too....got a lot on him" I say and Maddy gives me a frightened look
"Baby....please tell me your not gonna get revenge" Maddy says and I look at her confused
