Chapter Forty-Two: The Show has started

Campbell's POV

I watch as Lexi and "Rue" walk down the street, I remember Rue high texting me that night in some bullshit about Aliens, I've never gotten high before since drugs fucked up my best friend and my mom

I look over to Rue and see her looking off to the side, I sigh and look forward again to see Lexi snap her fingers and the street light shuts off

I clap for her with as the next act begins, the curtains move and I see the Pom poms moving as the lights come on and I see the Cassie and Maddy lookalikes dancing to the music

I adjust in my seat as I remember that routine, got my first of many boners for Maddy that day in 9th grade

I look fire to Maddy and see she's very uncomfortable, I under given that she and Cassie came up with that cheer together

I hold her hand close and kiss it as she watches intently, I kiss her cheek to comfort her

"You aren't stupid baby....you couldn't have known" I say, Lexi starts talking about Maddy moving into their house causing me to start listening intently

I look at Maddy confused but decide to leave it for when we go home, I look forward and watch as Maddy's charecter started crying in "Cassie's"arms

I feel my heart ache as I begin to realize this is something that really happened, I look over to my girl and she had a stone cold look in her face

I hear something behind me and see Cassie leaving the auditorium, I watch her and notice Nate not even moving an inch

Asshole clung even console his new play thing

I sigh and shake my head, I wipe my mouth as the scene carries on and moves to the next act

I feel my free hand turn into a fist as the Nate and Maddy characters come on

"Jake and Marta's relationship was our first impression of love" Lexi narrates

"No one's ever loved me as much as you" Marta says and I clench my jaw

"No one ever will" Jake says and I shake my head and chuckle

"How wrong he was....how wrong he is" I say to myself, I feel Maddy's eyes but I don't meet them but leave a kiss on the back of her hand instead

"Marta had a secret admirer that she knew was there but never paid much mine due to her love for Jake...even Cameron was Jakes worst enemy" Lexi says

I watch as ,y character walks out and hands Marta a letter before running off, Marta turns around and sees my character but only smiles before walking off with Jake

I look down at Maddy and see her phone in her hand...with the note in the case

"Baby....is that..

"Yes...it is the same one" Maddy says and I smile to myself, feeling my heart swoon

I didn't think she kept it or that Nate threw it away...she kept it this whole time

Rue Narration

Campbell didn't know how much she meant to Maddy, Maddy kept that note bedside even in the dark time with Nate...she still had a light

And that light was Campbell...it was always Campbell

No One's POV

Ashtray walks out for the areas he was in and into the living room where Custer smiles his cigarette and Andrew lays in the ground now crying, Ash watches the two men as he sits in his seat

The knife firmly in his hand as he watches Custer with a glare

"Hey little man" Custer says but Ash doesn't respond, Faye smiles at Fez as he asks tie or no tie

"I think you look handsome with no tie" Faye says and Fez nods and takes the tie off

"You think someone will think I look handsome" Fez asks weigh one girl in mind p, the same one he's been thinking of since New Years

"Definitely" Faye boasts as she smiles at her friend

"Thanks...ima go out on my pants" Fez says excitedly as he walks to the other room, Faye looks down unsure herself as she makes her way to the kitchen

Fez finishes up getting ready as he puts a note for Lexi in his suit jacket and gets the flowers he has for her

"Fezzzzzzz....what about me man.....I have a business to take care of...I can't have what I want so please just give me what I want the most...that's to see Campbell pay" Andrew rants and Fez rolls his eyes

"Go the fuck home man I'm not helping you, Campbell is family, your not" Fez says as he stands next to Faye in the kitchen

"Why can't you fucking help me" Andrew yells but Fez just waves him off

"Go fuck you're daughters dad bro" Fez says and Andrew goes to get up but he falls back on his ass with a groan

"Alright....uh I'm finna head out" Fez says causing Custer to panic slightly as Ashtrays eyes haven't left him

"Wait your uh...your leaving" Custer asks nervously

"Yea I'm about to leave right now" Fez says as he checks Lexi's text, he smiles as she saved him a seat

Fez looks up and around him as the energy in the room feels off to him suddenly and his nerves start to act up

"Is-is everything good" Fez asks as he eyes Custer and his little brother, Andrew slowly gets up as he stares at Fez coldly

"It definitely isn't" He says angrily before pulling out a knife from his pocket causing everyone in the room to suddenly become anxious

Campbell's POV

I clap my hands as I the act ends once again, I look over to Maddy and I sigh heavily as I think of what will happen after the play

Things are changing and I know that but....I'm nervous what this whole thing may hold, I look to the stage again and see a bunch of shirtless guys causing me to be caught off guard a bit

I frown as I watch the Nate character act gay with a bunch of guys watching, I laugh as I know Nate is screaming inside right now

The guys start to work out and act very....gay basically, I laugh as I watch Ethan act his ass off with the guys who are feeling his ass up...literally

The lockers open up and I laugh as the guys start thrusting onto each other, I laugh so hard my stomach starts to hurt with every dance move and thrust

I start thrusting with the music causing Kat, Maddy and BB laugh at me, I turn around to see Nate fuming as he watches

"Someone is pissed" I say to Maddy and she shakes her head with a smile, I sing the song playing as I dance in my seat as clap

The guys start groan and I cringe a bit

"Lexi your a fucking G" Maddy yells as the song ends, I clap and stand up with everyone

I turn around to see Nate gone and I see Cassie breathing in the glass that's on the door, my eyes widen as I see her got ass breath on the glass

"Oh shit" I say to myself

She is about to hit the fan
