Campbell's POV
I smile at Lexi as she lets me into her house, decided to leave Marsha's drunk ass at home especially since my father came over to get his stuff
"Ugh...today has been awful" I say to Lexi as my phone vibrates and she closes the door, I take it out and see it's from Cal
Bio Dad<3: Hey Cam, just wanted to apologize for how I acted, I do want to take custody of you but I have to do some things before I can do that but maybe we can see each other sometime this week? Go to a football game coming up
I smile a bit and immediately accept, this could be my chance to get away from Andrew for good and have a good dad....well a semi good dad
At least one that doesn't love hitting me and being a prick on purpose
"What are you smiling about" Lexi teases and I laugh a bit
"Just.....happy about something" I say and Lexi rolls her eyes
"Make up with Maddy yet" She asks and I sigh
"No...it's from..my dad" I say and Lexi frowns but before she can say anything, the doorbell rings causing Lexi and i to look at each other
She opens the door to reveal a very disheveled Rue who looks very uncomfortable
She makes eye contact with me as Lexi lets her in, I move away from her and don't meet her eyes at all
"Hey..Campbell" She says before asking Lexi for the bathroom, just as she does, I hear footsteps coming towards us
"Hey Rue" Maddy says as she comes out with Cassie and Kat behind her, I sigh as I watch them hug her one by one
Maddy looks to me and I look at her but don't say anything nor do I move from my spot
"Campbell can we please talk" Maddy asks as she comes over to me
"Not right now" I say as Suze comes downstairs now and greets Rue, I look at Rue closely and she's holding herself...her ass more specifically
She's very sweaty and limping bit as she holds her stomach desperately
Fuck...she's going through withdrawals
"Uh Rue the bathrooms down the hall upstairs...go...now!" I say and Rue nods before running up the stairs past Suze
Everyone looks at me as I grab my phone and call Rue's mom immediately
"Campbell what's going on" Suze asks
"She's going through withdrawals...something tells me her mom has no idea where she's at" I say as Rue's mom answers
I tell her to come to Lexi's house before hanging up and looking to everyone who stares back curiously
"Are yall ok" Maddy asks
"Yea you two seemed distant, you didn't even hug her when she came in" Lexi says and I look down
"We uh....held a intervention for her today and uh...it didn't go well..just let her mom handle it" I say and the girls nod as Suze walk over to me and rubs my shoulders
"She's gonna be ok sweetheart...it's not your fault" She says and I smile and nod
"....I know" I say and stand awkwardly next to Maddy, I feel her grab my hand but I move away a bit
"Campbell can we just talk, your not even hearing me out" She pleads and I look at her emotionless
"I ain't ready to talk to you yet, plus I need to see how sorry you are" I say and Maddy sighs before looking away
