I used to be so cheerful, I used to laugh a lot, I used to smile at people, I  used to be friendly.

I have a mother and a father who always made sure I have the world, a brother who always made sure that I am fine, that I am safe, that I am happy.

A child growing up in an environment full of love, should have been a woman that is affectionate to others.

But one night, my world shattered when the place I call home turned into a grave, when the people around me turned into monsters. It was a night that changed my whole life forever.

The door of my room bursted open and my mother came in a rush.

"Mom? Mom what's happening?"

She didn't say anything, instead, she rushed to me.

"Mom?"

I looked at her and I only saw panic in her eyes. The eight years old child that I am didn't understand anything.

I cried and panicked when she started putting me inside the cabinet, I wanted to scream but she covered my mouth.

"Mommy!" The sound is only muffled in my mouth.

She shook her head and I saw the glint of tears in her eyes when she cupped my face.

"Stay here, alright? You can't leave unless I open--" A loud thud from outside made us both jump.

"W-Where's Daddy? Where's Arkin? Mommy, I'm scared!"

She shook her head. She looked at me and held my face. "Listen, Armie.. someone is inside the house, and it's dangerous. So you have to promise me that you will stay here."

I shook my head. I held onto her dress because I'm so scared, not just for myself but also for her. I was so scared that she might not come back. But she closed the cabinet forcefully and before I can even call her name, I already heard the loud bang on the door that made my eyes widen.

"Miss Reen!" I heard people outside.

It's so dark inside the cabinet, I feel like I'm suffocating, I'm so scared, and then there are noises, people are screaming that I had to cover my ears. My whole body is trembling because of fear. I covered my mouth so I'd stop myself from making any sounds.

From the small space in between the doors of the cabinet, I was able to see what's happening outside. I saw Mommy standing in the middle of the room and I saw bodies.. dead bodies scattered on the floor.

I recognized the faces of our bodyguards and my eyes widened. It felt like a horror movie is coming into life. My hands trembled in fear.

I saw a group of men coming inside my room, holding guns, but I couldn't recognize them.

"You can get everything you want. The money is inside the vault, in the master's bedroom."

"But why are you here instead of the master's bedroom? That should mean something, right?"

Mommy couldn't answer and I was already sweating in fear.

"Search the room."

"No!"

Mommy begged and cried but she couldn't stop them. Someone opened the cabinet and I fell on the floor immediately, crumpled down, trembling in fear.

I looked at my mom and saw her crying. I tried to reach for her but two men pulled us away from each other.

"No! Don't hurt her!" she cried.
