General Hugh and General Logan come in with big grins on their faces.
"This is the highest scores in history." General Hugh is all giddy. General Logan just has a pleased look on his face.
"Congratulations." They say and each give us a handshake.
They give us our sheets and then dismiss us to dinner.
"Oh my gosh how is our score even possible?" I ask in amazement.
"Soldiers from Muttford haven't even got scores this high." Oliver says while looking at his sheets.
The sheets rate us individually and then as a group. Oliver and I scored a perfect score together. The perfect score is 900.
Individually, I scored another perfect score. Oliver scored 897, but that is still really high. Our scores help us get a perfect score together.
Oliver and I make our way to the mess hall. Before we walk in Oliver stops me right in my tracks. He turns me towards him so that we are looking into each other's eyes. Then he leans down and places his warm lips on top of mine as lean into him. We kiss for a little bit and then I pull back.
"I'm sorry, I didn't know how to tell you." He says looking away.
"No, I really like you too." I smile pulling his chin to look at me.
"This stays between us, right?" I ask not wanting to get made fun of more. He would even get made fun of if people knew.
"Yea." He says with a big grin. With one more kiss he walks into the mess hall leaving me in the hall amazed.
The boys cheer when he walks in. Our score had announced before we got in. When I walk into the mess hall nobody cheers. I get in line behind Oliver and get my food.
Henry looks at my papers when I sit down while I look at his. As an individual he got 784, but with Jax he got a 790.
"Good job, Henry." I congratulate him as he grins.
"Thank you. I did research and highest students from Muttford usually get scores around this."
I start to eat as the generals start to talk. They congratulate Oliver and I for making history. After everybody cheers for Oliver and pat him on the back Henry turns to me and pats me on the back. I smile and then direct my attention back to the generals.
"Tomorrow you will pick a different partner and go through the simulation again. This time you won't get your papers back. All we are doing is seeing how you do with other soldiers." General Hugh finishes up and then sits back down.
"Scarlett, want to be partners?" Henry ask like he doesn't know the answer.
"I'm obviously going to say yes." I joke with him.
