"They don't all look the same. some of them are disguised and misleading. They could be living right under your nose an you will never find out until they've got you by the throat." I hint towards Jessie. He catches on and his smile completely fades.

"That's all the time we have today. Thank you for coming back Scarlett. It was true pleasure." He quickly says without his usual cheery smile.

"You've been caught." I say once the camera is off.

"What are you talking about?" He acts clueless but he knows.

"Dad and I have been struggling to make it through since mom died and now I find out you are secretly rich and well off while dad and I have suffered." I get up from the chair and begin to walk away.

"I've helped you so much by keeping it from you." He yells behind me.

"Yeah, you showed me what it's like to almost die from malnourishment." I leave the studio. Oliver, Alan and Ajax come out behind me.

"I think it's time for a drink." Jax loosens up his tie.

"Hold on. I have to go see somebody by myself." I say.

I take the bitter walk by myself. It fridges cold nips at my skin as I walk to my house. My father was probably home by now and most likely had watched the show.

When I get to the broken down shack I let myself in.

"Daddy?" I say as it echoes through the house.

"Sweetheart?" He comes around the corner to greet me. We give a brief hug and then I sit down at the table with him.

"You look just beautiful. I watched the show." He hands me a cup of home brewed tea.

"Thank you." I say as he offers me some food.

"I'm guessing you found out." Dad gives me soft eyes.

"How long have you known about it?" I ask surprisingly.

"I found out just about a month ago." He looks down at his tea and I can tell he is broken.

"Once I come back from this battle we will have enough money for you just to have one job." I lay my hand on his.

"Your a great kid." he gives it a gentle squeeze.

"I wish I could take you with me to live in the palace." I say finishing up my tea.

"You don't mean that. It's actually kind of nice just being the only one to live here now. It feels like reconnecting with an old friend." He pats me on the shoulder as we both stand up and start heading to the door.

"I miss you, dad." I give him a hug and then walk down the steps.

It's dropped at least 10 degrees while I walk through the city. The cold never really bothered me. It was always just something that stayed with me.
