"Who sent you here?" Oliver stands up defensively.
"General Hugh ordered us to come find you two so that you could take us down to the mats." Storm says respectfully while Hex glares at me.
"Hand over your simulation scores." I grab them out of Hex's hand and then observe them.
"799 over all. You two are ranked highest in class so far." I dread to hear the other boys scores. This can only
Mean one bad thing. Our regiment isn't as good as the last one and that means I'm going to have to work harder to bring them all back."Also we have to factor in that some of us just came back from prison so we probably aren't as good as usual." Storm makes a good point.
"In about a week we'll try to do simulations again. If these scores don't improve I'm going to be very disappointed." I say as we walk down to the mats.
"Yes, ma'am." Storm says but Hex doesn't say anything.
When we get down to the mats Oliver fights Storm first. Obviously, Oliver wins but he shows Storm some things to work on. To my surprise, Storm actually takes his advice and starts practicing with the punching bags.
Hex climbs into the ring expecting to fight with Oliver. When ever Oliver steps out Hex starts to throw a fit.
"What's the problem?" I was getting short tempered with him and his attitude.
"I'm not going to learn anything if I'm going against you." he says bitterly.
"And why do you think that?" I grow angry.
"You don't know anything. It's going to be easy winning this." He smirks.
"Did you see her in the simulation?" Storm ask in disbelief.
"Let him think what he wants. Now let's get started." I cut him off.
Hex raises his fist in a ready stance. I keep my arms down and ten wait for him to mess up and make the first move. As I called it he did mess up while doing the first move.
He charges at me full speed and buckled down ready to tackle. I step out of the way as he crashes to the ground. Once he stands back up I raise my fist and then punch him. I take him down in a matter of seconds. He lays on the ground from being beat.
"Don't sprint and try to tackle your enemy. It's hard to stop so much momentum when there is nothing to slow it down." I say and walk of the mats.
"Wait, we aren't done yet." Hex ask for more thinking that he will win but I end up proving him wrong again.
This time he does charge as hard but this time I bring him to the ground. My hand clamps around his throat before he can try to get up. His face turns different shades of colors as I keep my hand on his throat.
"Scarlett, that's enough now." Oliver says. I realize what I'm doing and then quickly let go. He isn't hurt at all, just a little shaken up.
