As I walk down the isle to see Henry and then take my seat, I can't help but notice his family. His dad was the same as when when I first met him but his mom looked even more upset then when I saw her. Charlotte rushes to my side when she sees me.

"Scarlett, have you read his letters?" She cries as she pulls out hers from her coat.

"No, I've been waiting for the right time." I hug her.

"Read these after you have read yours. Keep them safe. His father threatened me he would burn them if I didn't get rid of them." She shakes as I take them from her.

"I will." I promise as she wobbles away.

All during the services I don't shed a tear. I stay strong for Henry. He deserves this from me after everything he's done for me.

At the end of the funeral I stay to watch dirt being thrown on him. His father had dragged his mother away from watching but he didn't dare look at me in the process. I'd like to think that I scared him.

I sit down beside the tombstone as I watch grains of dirt fly into the hole. Alan, Jax, and Oliver stand behind me as I wallow into grief. As all the dirt piles on him I begin to cry.

"Goodbye, old friend." I lastly say forever and walk back to the palace with a stack of letters in my hand.

I decide to open up my letters that he gave me. My heart jumps at the sight of his girlish hand writing as I begin smile as I cry.

"Dear Scarlett,
I hope this letter reaches you well. Hopefully your smoking a cigarette right now because I remember how you say you always want one even though you've only had one in your entire life. Anyways, I just wanted to thank you. You deserved to be thanked every day because you've changed my life and various others. Your strong attitude towards always doing the right thing has brought you very far and I hope you never lose that. Many people change as battle tears them down but I pray that you still have your priorities straight. As I recall them they were to win this war. Hopefully your still fighting to save this colony and still follow on with what's right. Many people need you, Scarlett. People need you as their leader and I still need you. I need you to lead people to the battle and I swear if I die in battle I will still haunt you. But once your soldiers die I promise I will lead them to a new kind of freedom. I'll lift the weight off your shoulders of leaving people in all different ways. Keep working towards your priorities. I will be forever yours.
Love Always,
Henry"

I began to realize that I wasn't staying true to my priorities and by not doing that I wasn't staying true to Henry.

I need to get back in this war and I was going to with the recruitment of a few people and the new draft.
