"Before Henry died he wanted me to tell you both something." I say as the both sit across from me at the small circular table. His mom hangs on to every word as his dad grunts it off.

"Get on with it." He rushes.

"He wanted my to tell Charlotte that he loves her and that he forgives you." I slide the bag over to them, "and these are his things from training camp." I says as his mother cries.

"Why do you think I care that he forgives me?" His dad was rude.

"Because he is your dead son." I say in disbelief.

"Scarlett, it must be time for you to go." His mother rushes.

"Hold on," I say to her and look back at Henry's dad. "He was more of a man than you will ever be. You should be ashamed of your self." I say to his dad. Charlotte is sitting at the table looking through Henry's bag. A bunch of letters come out of the small little bag.

"I frankly don't care. He was an outcast, a misfit, he was an embarrassment on this family. I'm glad he died." His dad's words were like poison.

"Screw you! He was a damn good soldier and also my best friend! He wasn't the one that deserved to die, it was you!" I stand up at the table jabbing my finger in the mans chest.

"What do you know? Your just a girl who thinks she can play war." He stands up and pushes me back. I quickly grab his arm and twist it behind his back, pushing him up against the wall.

"If I recall correctly, you were to scared to sign a draft in your young days. I'm not a coward like you. I actually know how to fight and save the land and the people that I love. Henry is nothing like you. All you are is a cowardly bastard and I swear to God if I ever hear of you or see you again I will break every bone in your body. Do you understand?" I threaten him.

"Y-Yes ma'am." He stutters as I push him to the ground.

Charlotte walks me to the door still filing through the letters. She has a small smile on your face.

"I found a few letters he wrote to you." She says and hands me five letters.

"Thank you." I say as I give her a hug.

"If you ever need anything and I mean anything, you know where to find me." I say stepping back to the taxi.

She waves goodbye as I pull away with the five letters from Henry.

That night I don't drink anything to numb the pain. I simply just lay my head down and fall asleep.

I dream about war again and wake up swinging. General Logan and Oliver are already in the room when I come to my senses. General Logan had formed a special bond with me after the battle. One night when we were drinking together he told me why he was tough and mean.

"I don't get close with the soldiers because I know they are going to die. It causes more pain." He takes a swig from my flask. "I was just like this when I came back but I found a way out and you will too." he told me this as our bond was cemented.

Now he was in my room calming me down like a best friend.
