Hex stands up quickly and then begins to sprint down the hall. Guilt fills my chest as I begin to feel myself following him.
"He's not hurt." Oliver says to me.
"I didn't mean to. It's just a habit. Everybody that comes after me wants to kill me." I frantically begin to run after Hex.
"Hex!" Storm calls after him as he runs in front of me. He catches up with Hex and then tackles him.
"Calm down!" Oliver is by their sides kneeling on the ground. I crouch down beside him and begin to apologize.
"He's not hurt at all." Oliver inspects his neck.
"He just need to calm down." Oliver tells Storm to stay on him until he calms down.
As he calms down we get Alan.he reassures is there is no harm done. Hex starts to calm down and then finally all at once he is ok again.
"I'm sorry, Hex. I didn't mean to scare you like that." I falsely apologize. Hex stops away as Storm follows behind him.
"He acted like a big baby." Alan begins to laugh as they become distant.
"Was I really about to kill him?" I ask Oliver.
"No, he just over reacted." Oliver laughs with Alan.
Oliver pulls me into him as I laugh along with them. Out laughter draws to an end when General Logan walks down.
"Scarlett, Oliver, Alan, and y'all's other little friend Jax are all I charge of Hex and his hooligans." He says.
"So basically the whole regiment?" I was getting very brace to talk to y General like this.
"If you want the whole regiment then request granted. You are now in charge of the whole regiment while General Hugh and myself plan for an attack on Ballton." General Logan exits the mats.
"I should have kept my mouth shut." I mutter.
"At least we are about to get more action." Oliver shrugs as we all walk to the mess hall for dinner.
Jax joins us on the way. Alan tells him out new orders as he groans.
"We all feel the same way." I say.
We enter the mess hall an get in line. Hex walks by and purposely runs into me.
"I didn't think I beat you up enough so that you almost become blind." I say getting up from the shove.
"I can see just fine." He hisses.
"I don't think so because you would have seen the new Major of your regiment. I'm in charge now." I say back and grab my food leaving him in the dust. Hex isn't as good as he thinks he is.
