More Than a Crush GxG

Chapter 11 - 1st task

Y/N has been going to the library after dinner every night to research everything she can on dragons and possible spells that might come in handy. Her and Flo both made a list of strengths and weaknesses to help aswell.

"I don't know I'm good with a broom," Y/N says

"Y/N, you're not just good with a broom you're amazing with one. Viktor said that you could make it pro one day," Flo says

Y/N smirks "so you were talking with Viktor"

Flo rolls her eyes "that's not the point, the point is that you are brilliant on a broom"

"Yes but I'm only allowed a wand, not a broom," Y/N says

"I think this could help," Hermione says and places a book with a loud thud in front of Y/N

"Accio?" Flo says

"It's a summoning charm," Y/N says

"You could use it to summon your broom," Hermione says and Y/N grins and hugs Hermione tightly lifting her feet into air

"Hermione you're a genius," Y/N says placing her back on the ground and Hermione blushes

"Your welcome" Hermione says blushing

Suddenly, Y/N hears a few fits of laughter over in the next aisle and no surprise its Draco and a bunch of Slytherins. They all crowd around Draco as he reads the Daily Prophet

"I still cry when I think of my mum says Black, mostly at night when I'm alone" he mocks and the Slytherins burst out laughing but gets hushed quickly by the librarian

Y/N fumes with anger "I never said that" and Hermione nods acknowledging the Ravenclaw girl as she looks around for more useful books with Flo

"Fortunately, the young troubled champion" Draco continues, as he looks up to see Y/N and he grins wickedly "has found comfort in the loving arms of Hermione Granger"

Y/N's faces flushes but her face remains stoic as she glares at her cousin "I never said that either"

Hermione stops searching for books and stares at Y/N her face flushed but she remains quiet as she watches the Slytherin boy and Y/N interact

"Wow Y/N, I never minded the whole gay thing but falling for a mudblood, I never thought you could be any more pathetic" Draco laughs and Y/N doesn't say anything only watches as Malfoy and the band of Slytherins scurry away quickly before Y/N could utter another word.

The Ravenclaw girl sighs and Flo places a comforting hand on her shoulder "hey don't listen to him. You know he's always been a prick" she whispers and Y/N nods and joins back with Hermione who has now gone awfully quiet.

Y/N decided now wasn't the best time to confront the Gryffindor girl about it and focus on the 1st task

It's the day of the first task and Y/N has been practising every day to perfect the Accio charm. She's confident her broom will come but she just has to survive long enough with the dragon to get it. Y/N readjusts her uniform and gear in Ravenclaw colours to stop herself from pacing.

The crowds are cheering outside the arena and Y/N paces nervously. The other champions are all in their little worlds trying to prepare themselves for the task. Suddenly Y/N hears someone outside the tent and she moves closer to hear.

"Y/N is that you," Hermione says on the other side of the tent

"Yeah" Y/N replies

"How are you feeling?" Hermione says
