Chapter 19 - Bubble Bath

It's a few weeks after Christmas and Flo and Y/N are both walking across the bridge as they head to their potions class. "So what's your plan with the egg," Flo asks

"I have no idea" Y/N sighs "I've pretty much ignored it since I got it"

"Y/N you told me you'd figured the egg out weeks ago. The task is two days from now." Flo says annoyed

"Really? I had no idea." Y/N says sarcastically "I suppose Viktor's already figured it out."

"I wouldn't know, we didn't actually talk about the tournament." Flo says and Y/N smirks "but we actually are sort well dating now"

Y/N smiles brightly at Flo "that's amazing Flo I'm happy for you"

"Thanks Y/N that means a lot but could you keep this to yourself for a little while. I'm ready for everyone to know especially how Ron reacted at the Yule Ball"

"Of course" Y/N and Flo nods then sighs

"You are trying to figure this egg out aren't you?" Flo asks

"What's that supposed to mean?" Y/N says

"I mean these tasks are supposed to test you in the most brutal ways, they're almost cruel. And um, I'm scared for you. You got by the dragon mostly on nerve, I'm not sure it's going to be enough this time." Flo says "also Hermione's scared for you too"

Y/N sighs "she didn't tell me that"

"Can you blame her? She doesn't want to worry you. That's why she told me, you've got enough on her mind than to worry about her," Flo says

Y/N frowns "well that's the most dumbest thing I've heard, I care a lot about her, she should tell me if something is upsetting her"

"Maybe you should talk to her about it" Flo says "but don't be too harsh on her sometimes when your mad or frustrated you tend to be a little, harsh"

Y/N rubs her temples "I'm working on it, but your right I should talk to her"

"You a should also just ask her to be your girlfriend already" Flo says and Y/N blushes

"I'm working on it" the Ravenclaw replies "after the second task I will"

Flo smirks "alright but don't make her wait too long" and Y/N nods

"Hey Y/N," Cedric's voice says from behind and he smiles "how are you"

"Spectacular," Y/N says and the Hufflepuff boy smirks

"Look I realise I never really thanked you properly for tipping me off about those dragons," Cedric says and Y/N smiles

"Don't worry about I know you would've done the same" Y/N replies

"Exactly. You know the prefect's bathroom on the fifth floor?" Cedric says and Y/N nods "It's not a bad place for a bath. Just take your egg and mull things over in the hot water."

Y/N stands confused and Cedric walks away.

"Y/N are you sure about this" Flo says as her, Y/N and Hermione walk into the prefect bathroom

"To be honest with you I have no idea but what have I got to lose" Y/N replies

Before them lies a sunken pool, fitted with hundreds of golden taps. Above is a window with a mermaid asleep on a rock, long hair fluttering gently in a soft breeze. Y/N kneels by the pool and sees that each tap bears a different coloured jewel. She gives one a twist and and watches at emerald water spurts out.
