LIZZIE'S POV
I admired Nell as she slept, last night was amazing. I've never felt so connected to someone, I've never felt so loved and cared for. It was blissful and I was still in a haze over it. She told me she loved me, she said it first I didn't even though I've wanted to for weeks now. After a while, I decided I wanted attention so I kissed her neck, and then her jaw and then her lips.
"Happy birthday, Princess." She mumbled her eyes still closed. Her arm moved to go around my waist and rolled me on top of her so we were flush together. "Morning," I say smiling widely at her when she finally opens her eyes, she matches my expression and it warms my heart. "My plan was to wake up before you and make you breakfast in bed." She tells me. "I'm glad you didn't," I say laying my head in the crook of her neck. "And why is that? You like my breakfast muffins." "I do but you're going to be by my side all day today." "Oh am I?" "Yeah, because it's my birthday so you have to do what I say," I tell her smugly. "Since when did this relationship turn into a dictatorship?" "Since always... I just make you believe you're making choices." She scoffed and we both chuckled.
"Are your sisters awake?" She asked, I listened for a moment. "No, it's only like, early," I say not knowing the time. "What do you want to do this morning? No one arrives until 1 ish." She reminds me. "I don't mind as long as I'm with you." I decide and she pecks the top of my head. "Want to help me make your muffins?" "Yeah." I sat up quickly and she chuckled at my response. "Blueberry or breakfast?" "Blueberry, is that even a question." "Right I should have guessed." She says sitting up my arms go around her neck and I peck her lips a few times.
"I love you," I whisper scared it was all a dream and she never actually said it. What if I just deluded myself enough that I imagined everything that happened last night. She had a lazy smile spread across her lips. "I love you too, Princess." Okay, so I didn't make it up. My heart fluttered at the words. I bit my lip as I looked at her. "Gosh, you drive me crazy." She whispered be capturing my lips, I slip my tongue in her mouth quickly taking over, she hummed against my lips in pleasure before we pulled away, our eyes slowly opening again.
We go into the bathroom, brush out teeth and readjust our messy buns. On our way downstairs Nell knocked on the twin's doors. "Birthday girl is awake." She said opening their doors, mumbles were heard before they both emerged in oversized hoodies, messy buns and shorts. "Happy Birthday, Lizzie." Ash hugged me. "Happy Birthday munchkin," MK said climbing on my back. I carried her down. Nell went into the lounge before me and closed the door in my face. "Fucking rude," I complained when Ash slipped in too. "Laters." MK left me.
I pushed the door open and gasped, they had decorated it for my birthday, balloons littered the ceiling their strings dangling to eye level with different pictures on them from different points in my life, there was a beautiful cake in the middle and presents surrounding it all with matching wrapping paper making it appealing to look at, there was "Happy Birthday" Balloons across one wall with a "2" and "9" balloon floating beside it. They were pink, rose gold and clear balloons.
I spot Nell with her camera snapping pictures of my reaction, probably the only time she's ever taken photos of me ever, it's like she boycotts it. Maybe I'm just not interesting enough to have photos of. "Guys, when did you even do this." "This morning, we got up at 5 am." "You were faking." "Yes." Nell laughs lowering her camera. "Oh and," Ashley says before leaving the room and returning with Scarlett, Brie and Flo. I hugged them tightly. "Happy birthday."
"Everyone else is coming later," MK tells me before handing me the phone with my mum on the screen. "Mummy." I cheered, happy to see her. "Happy Birthday, Elizabeth." She said to me. I open my presents they were all from different people but my perfectionist sisters wrapped them all and labelled them so it matched the theme.
