I climb out of the cab and walk up to the gates. "Hi, Matty." "Hi, Nell... Lizzie didn't say you were visiting." "Lizzie doesn't know I'm here," I say pulling my ID out he waved me off. "I know you, let's cut the formalities." He handed me the clipboard to sign in. "Is she in or out?" "She's..." He checked the system. "Still in." "Perfect." I smile. "Here, hop in the cart, I'll drive you up the hill." He says taking my case from me. "Really?" "You can't be walking all that way with your bags. Plus the flowers will get ruined." I smiled and followed him to the golf cart and loaded my case and duffle in before climbing in.
"She might as well add you to the residence list at this point." He teased. "Just visiting," I say. "On Valentine's day?" "Her birthday is in two days," I note. "So how long have you been together? Since the first night, you brought her home or after that, no good Robbie got taken off the residence list?" I choked on air. "Um." "I'm teasing kid."
When we pulled up to the house Matty rang the buzzer. "Hello?" Lizzie says sounding confused, clearly not expecting anyone this early or at all today. "It's Matty, you got a delivery..." He lied for me as I pulled my stuff off the cart staying away from the cameras so she couldn't see me. "I'll buzz you in, thank you." She buzzed him in and the gates opened. "Thanks, Matty." "See you around Nell." I walked up the drive and Lizzie opened the door.
"BABY!" She ran out barefoot towards me I let go of my bags holding the flowers to the side of my body before she crashed into me. "Surprise, Princess." She pulled herself up on my body like a little koala bear her limbs wrapping around me and her head buried in the crook of my neck. "Happy Valentine's day, my love," I whispered to her kissing her head. "You're here." "I'm here." "You said you couldn't." "I have sessions in the LA studio over the next few days none on your birthday but it means I can be here with you." She climbed down and her eyes were glazed over. "Bug, don't cry." "I'm happy. I'm really happy." She says cupping my cheek with no hesitation in her movements which made me smile, she truly believed me when I told her she was free to do what she wanted and I wouldn't react badly. "Can we go inside? I have gifts for you." "You got me gifts?" "It's Valentine's day of course I got you gifts," I say bending down to pick my duffle. "Firstly, Flowers." I hand the large bunch that I preordered for collection. "Thank you." She smiled widely at me and then we went inside with my things. Once she closed the door her body attached to me again and I held her up. "I missed you." "We spoke every day." "Not the same." She pulled away slightly before kissing me.
I hummed in appreciation missing the feeling of her lips against mine as they moved in sync, our bodies flush against each other not being able to get closer if we tried. "I missed you too," I say smiling against her lips. "I need to shower." "No, cuddles." "I'm all gross from the plane," I complain as I carry her through to the kitchen. I set her down on the counter before going to the coffee machine. "Do you want one?" She nodded quickly. I got two mugs out and set the coffee machine up before turning around to face her.
She had a wide smile on her lips and it warmed my heart, it was my favourite thing to look at was her happiness, her nose would crinkle a little and her eyes would squint slightly. I wish I had my camera to capture her beauty. "Happy Valentine's day." She says to me. "I have your things, I was going to send them but I wanted to give them to you and you were coming tomorrow anyway so I thought I'd save them." She explained. "Well let's have coffee, showers get ready and we can do all the cheesy stuff." She agreed easily. I took her coffee to her before resetting the machine and putting my mug underneath and waiting. She sipped it a little I got my coffee and did the same before settling it down when she was making grabby hands at me.
I walked between her legs and our lips connected like magnets, they were short pecks at first before we got lost in the moment her legs locked around my waist holding me in place, my hands tangled in her hair pushing her closer to me. Before completely pulling away we pecked each other and rested our foreheads against each other. "Thank you." She whispered. "I'd do anything to see that smile of yours." I pecked her forehead before leaving her touch and getting my mug from across the kitchen and returning to her.
