Nell was gone when I woke up this morning, we stayed up late making plans for the wedding I just assumed she'd still be sleeping but the bed was cold where she normally laid. I frown as I tan my hand over the cold empty space. "Baby?" I called but got no reply. I sighed and went into the bathroom and freshened up washing my face. "Eleanor?" I called out into our house hoping by some chance she'd answer me. I waited but she didn't reply. Where was this women. She always comes back to bed after taking her meds she doesn't often leave me alone.

The only times she does is when I believe she's over working herself. Which was probably the case today. We had so much preparation for the wedding that she has been slightly stressed about. She was being so sweet taking on the majority of the responsibilities so I do t get overwhelmed but I'm worried about her getting overwhelmed.

I find a hoodie that belonged to Nell that was discarded on the end of the bed before venturing out into the house to find my wife to be. I find her in the office with her head phones on. She was on the phone and typing on the computer at the same time. I stood behind her and traced her bare shoulders with the tip of my finger. She looks over her shoulder at me and smiles before continuing to do what she was doing.  I pecked her shoulder before wrapping my arms around her. "It's 8 am. Come back to bed." I whisper being conscious that she was on the phone with someone. She finished up her conversation before putting the phone down. She moved from the fest and took my hand and lead me to sit in her lap. She cradled me like a child on her lap and I snuggled into her warm embrace letting my face press into her neck.

"Morning, Princess." "Why are you up and working so early?" I asked her. "Wasn't tired and didn't want to disturb you." She says moving one hand from my body, leaving me cold whilst she types with one hand. I knew what she said wasn't true. If she can't sleep she normally plays with my hair or traces patterns in my skin until I wake up. She doesn't get up and work. I lay my hand on the side of her neck playing with her loose curls. "We went to bed at 3, how are you not exhausted?" I asked holding back a yawn so I could finish my sentence. "Just not tired." She says still typing.

We sit in silence the only sound was her fingers hitting the keys. I sat and tried to find the words I was looking for. "Did you sleep?" She didn't answer me so I pulled away from her to look at her she was concentrating on the screen. She realised I wasn't laid on her anymore and her hand cupped my face she wasn't even looking at me as she brushed my cheek gently with her thumb. "Do you want to go on a hike later? Or to the farmers market?" She asked. "I asked you a question." I say softly laying back on her she looked at me and pecked my forehead. "What did you ask, princess?" "I asked if you slept?" "I'm not tired." She says looking back at the screen. "Have you been in here all night?" "No, of course not." I pulled away again and we made eye contact. I gave her a "don't lie to me look" and she smiled. "I stayed with you until 5 and then I went to the gym before doing some work." She gestured to the mood boards on the floor. "And the. Made some phone calls for the wedding." "Baby, you need sleep." "I will." She smiled at me. My eyes flicked between hers trying to figure out what was going on with her.

"So a hike?" I found myself nodding before settling back into her embrace. "Love you." I mumbled to her. "I love you." She says softly. I stayed with her, in her embrace until she was done and then we went and got ready for the day. She drove us to a juice place and then we drove to Hollywood to go on a hike.

The rest of the day she wasn't still.  She was constantly doing something. Making phone calls, baking, organising, making messes, talking nonstop, talking really fast. I snuck off and checked her meds and she had been taking them. Unless she didn't fill her box up. But I know she did because I watched her do it. She did mine at the same time.

Four days I woke up alone in a cold empty bed and she was either in the pool swimming laps, in the office working or at the gym. I was growing more and more worried. I managed to get her to sit with me telling her we needed to talk and she happily gave me her time and attention.
