❝WOULD'VE HAD SOME TIME
TO GO AND WORK IT OUT❞
CHARLIE PUTH, KISS ME BEFORE I FUCKING LOSE MY MIND
As it turns out, when you go to bed early in the vigilante lifestyle, nothing good comes out of it. Especially when you go to sleep with an empty stomach. The young mage was woken up no more than two hours after falling asleep by an apologetic Garfield who was close to bursting in tears.
All intentions of having a good, lengthy sleep were long gone with that awakening.
Not that the chances of Lorelei getting a good or lengthy sleep were high, no, it was slim as it always was. Whatever her nightmare revolved around tonight was long forgotten the second Garfield presented himself in the panicked state.
With his back towards Lorelei and facing her door, the green haired Titan quickly debriefed her on what happened whilst she got herself into a more presentable outfit. Only a few details stuck, lingering in her mind. Only the main details sticking out in between Garfield's guilty rambling remained within the ice blonde mage.
Jason had been kidnapped by Dr. Light.
And to make matters worse, his tracker wasn't traceable. Garfield was quick to assure Lorelei that Dick was working on it; on finding Jason and getting a plan.
With that note, and her outfit somewhat presentable with her jeans and the first top she grabbed - which was a crop top, not very battle worthy but it would do -, Lorelei rushed to the tech room. She was rushing around the halls to see what her leader was doing.
This was Jason. Pissed off, at her or not, the noir haired boy was her friend. Lorelei would be damned if she was being kept in the dark again, she would help bring Jason home and that was final.
"We can't cover all this ground in one night." Hank could be heard saying as Lorelei rounded the corner into the tech room.
Taking in the scene Lorelei thanked her lucky star - that wasn't that lucky, seriously, it was not giving her much luck - that the former Titans were here.
"Which is why I've redirected the satellites to the area to sweep for Jason's tracker. Hopefully we can pinpoint his exact location from there." Dick argued, sitting on the chair as the former Titans stood around the room. "Gar and Rachel will monitor it from here, Lorelei can do comms-"
"Lorelei will be coming with you." The ice blonde mage interrupted. Comms? Really? Dick was idiotic to think she would sit here and manage comms while she could be out there, helping bring Jason home.
"Absolutely not, this is dangerous." The former Robin argued, turning towards Lorelei as she pulled the attention onto herself.
"I don't give two shits. This is Jason and I will be coming." She scoffed, crossing her arms before raising an eyebrow. "Or do you want Dr. Light to kidnap two Titans?"
Donna shook her head, becoming the first to agree with Dick. "Lorelei, I don't think you realise-"
"I'm not gonna sit around and wait for bad news to come when I could be out there helping. Dr. Light doesn't know about me or my abilities, we have the upperhand if I go." Lorelei proclaimed with determination.
This wasn't about realising how dangerous a rogue could be. Lorelei was long aware of how psychotic they could be. The ice blonde mage had spent a week with Gotham's most notorious rogue and Joker spared her no expense in proving his reputation proceeds him.
