❝SO CLOSE TOGETHER
SO FAR APART❞
FIFTH HARMONY, SLEDGEHAMMER
With his fist colliding to Lorelei's stomach, Jason let out a happy smirk. The young mage, who groaned with the punch to her stomach - though it was not too painful, there was a mutual understanding of where their strength limitations laid -, immediately aimed to punch the spiky haired boy's jaw and whip the glee from his face.
Lorelei was proud to admit she was no longer avoiding Jason, successfully having three more movie nights and three weeks filled with being able to breathe around Jason. Images would still occasionally flash in her mind of the boy in his wedding tuxedo or his lips would evade his mind whenever she caught him trailing his tongue over the flesh. For the most part, things were back to normal between them.
Which, unfortunately, meant they would occasionally train together. Jason was still trying to convince Lorelei for them to be sub-partners within the team. That meant they began to train together, a few sessions a week.
Mostly, that consisted of the young Robin attempting to show her how effortless it would be for them to fight alongside one another rather than on opposite sides of buildings. And for his efforts, Lorelei was considering it, truly.
Things could still become awkward momentarily once she has those memories of Trigon's alternative universe but for the most part, everything had been good between the pair. They had gotten closer, like seriously closer.
The violet eyed mage was still slowly opening up to Jason about the big things - the ugly things... and those good few years in Centia were still a mystery to everyone in the Tower -, and he was awaiting those days where he learned more. Regardless, they had gotten to know each other so much in the past few weeks.
From their favourite movie genres, to favourite foods, they were slowly beginning to memorise every detail of one another. The differences to similarities. Which, in all honesty, was both a blessing and a curse; because while Lorelei knew what his next move would be and had the ability to dance around his steps, he also knew what Lorelei was thinking.
Which made for interesting training sessions and the ever growing need to pin the other down.
Quickly grabbing onto Lorelei's wrist, the young Robin blocked her punch mere seconds before contact could be made. "Too slow, babe."
"What did I say about that nickname?" She grumbled, trying to snatch her wrist back. Her wrist barely budges against his grip, the boy's grip not faltering against her struggle.
A glare was quickly sent his way, a quick lipped comment unable to form on her tongue. It had become a pattern within their training sessions. They would take it seriously for the most part, genuinely training and especially training if others were in the room - Garfield was lifting weights nearby today - as Dick would find out if they were too busy goofing off. For the other part, they were too busy goofing off.
Goofing off insisted on a few things. Mainly, it was Jason and Lorelei acting silly as they familiarised themselves with the other's fighting style. During those times offered Jason the opportunity to flirt and tease Lorelei whenever she couldn't fight her way out of whatever mess he had put her into.
Or, they would genuinely converse and discuss any plans they had. Somehow Jason always found his way into Lorelei's business - she rarely had time away from him now she wasn't avoiding him.
