❝COOLER IN THEORY
BUT NOT IF YOU FORCE IT TO BE
IT JUST DIDN'T HAPPEN❞
TAYLOR SWIFT, CHLOE OR SAM OR SOPHIA OR MARCUS
Contemplating murder was not on Lorelei Hansworth's bingo card but the moment she returned to her body to be dragged into a portal, she was definitely having some violent thoughts. Her hands shot towards her head, eyes squeezing tight against the dizzying of the world and nauseating acid threatening to pile from her mouth. This was only partially her fault - astral projecting for so long with only a small break of information dumping wasn't much of a break.
Recovering from astral projection wasn't that hard either. A snack followed by a nap would have her clear as a sunny day. Not having a moment to register a thing before being dragged into a portal back to Centia was a different story. Dylan was here, that much was obvious. It was his message, his wind, that brought her back to her body. But why? She left Centia with strict orders; none of which resulted in her being, once again, kidnapped.
As the room began to calm, the young Archmage pulled her hands from her head, folding her arms across her chest with a glare shot to those who dared to interrupt her life. Dylan stood, his face deep with a familiar regret he held for anytime he had to interrupt her astral projection, as Colin towered over the younger mages. If Colin was around, her father was behind this.
"Explain yourselves." She demanded, her eyes darting between the two men. Lorelei wasn't letting this slide; her father knew the importance of being in Gotham right now. Nobody, not even Dylan, was getting off the hook so easily.
Not to mention Jason was in danger. This wasn't just about finding her talisman or discovering whether that was Jason or not - it never was. At first, it was about freedom and saving Gotham from the new vicious rogue of Red Hood. Now, things have changed drastically. Lorelei had a chance to make things right, to reverse Jason's wrongs.
Lorelei had a chance to fix all that had been lost in her life; her father could go to Hell if he thinks he can disrupt her life again.
"I-I'm so sorry but-"
"You are late, your highness." Colin huffed, the blond boy frowning as he stood beside the older mage.
"Don't interrupt Dylan like that ever again, Colin, don't forget he's far more important than you right now." Lorelei spat, her glare deepening with the lack of respect Colin held for her staff. "Late to what?"
Dylan furrowed his eyebrows, the two royal staff taken aback with her question. "You don't know?" The honey blond boy muttered, sharing a look with Colin before turning his attention back to Lorelei - who was quickly losing a patience she never had.
"I've been away for barely a week and suddenly I'm late to something I clearly didn't agree to. What is going on?" The violet eyed royal grumbled, her eyes continuing to shift between the two men as they cowered a step away from her.
The two men shared a small look of debate, the younger mage letting out a sigh of defeat with Colin's harsher energy. "Your coronation?" Dylan let out, eyes dropping to the ground in a sense of shame.
"My what?!"
The young Archmage dropped her arms with the shock that overtook her body, her glare softening to a look of sheer surprise before twisting into a panic. Lorelei wasn't sure why she was so shocked, if anything, this was typical of her father. Her features returned back to its scowl as the recognition for her father's cruelty resettled into her bones. Even now, as Archmage and someone draining his life source, he continues to be one step ahead.
