❝SHE'S THE FIRST IN LINE AT THE PARTY❞
MOLLY KATE KESTNER, PROM QUEEN
With the party drawing closer, Lorelei sat comfortably on Jason's motorcycle with her arms wrapped tightly around his torso in hopes of not falling off. So far Jason had yet to put the young mage in danger. It was mainly because she had admitted it was her first time on a bike and he promised to only do speed limits.
She was apprehensive at first, only agreeing to get on the bike once the young Robin stated Bruce wouldn't have gifted him the bike if he was not responsible enough for it.
It was a good argument, in all fairness.
Her outfit was simple, as was Jason's. While she opted for black leather leggings and a cute lace top with long sleeves to battle any chilled air, Jason went for a far more casual look with jeans and a t-shirt. Boys were lucky in that aspect, they didn't have so many options for clothes and Loreloei could only hope she would not stick out like a thumb.
She was comfortable though, that's what she mainly cared about. Even now, as Jason's bike pulls up to a forest just outside of Gotham, she was comfortable enough to trust Jason.
There were many cars scattered around the makeshift parking lot, a few other bikes too; Lorelei noted as Jason parked his bike up before dismounting and following his actions. It was not what Lorelei had been expecting, especially not when the spiky haired boy admitted they would have to walk the rest of the way.
One part of Lorelei was annoyed with having to walk in the forest to a party full of strangers. But once the realisation that the only other option was to have her arms around Jason for longer hit her, she was too embarrassed to complain. So walking in the darkened forest it was.
"Not long left." Jason said, earning a nod from Lorelei as she followed the makeshift path.
Despite the March weather, the path wasn't as muddy as one would have assumed. The ice blonde mage was thankful for that, the last thing she wanted to do was trail mud into the manor and have to clean it all up. Letting Alfred bend down and clean her footsteps was unfair and even if it was his job, Lorelei would scream murder before she let that happen.
As an unidentified noise was heard to her exposed right side - Jason was beside her left -, Lorelei stopped walking. "Did you hear that?"
Jason gave the young mage a short shrug as he looked around them. "Probably just a bird or something." Lorelei let out a paranoid sigh with a nod, continuing her walk with Jason.
Until the noise of a twig snapping could be heard from behind the violet eyed mage, bringing her steps to stop in her tracks. "I swear, Todd, if you brought me here to kill me I'll fucking haunt your ass."
The young Robin let out a laugh at her threat, shaking his head as they walked closer to the party. The music could be heard loudly from where the duo walked, they were close. More witnesses for Lorelei's potential murder.
Soon she would be inside the party with Jason. Save from any weirdos who lurk in the forest. Maybe this was a bad idea. What if Gotham's notorious villains were lurking for their next prey? What if Joker was here?
Her body tensed at the thought and if she wasn't already on high alert - she was - from the bird noises and twig snapping, Lorelei definitely was now. At least Scarecrow was in Arkham. One reassuring thought. Two, if you included Jason's presence.
