❝TOO COOL FOR LOVE TYPICALLY AIN'T MY TYPE❞
FRAWLEY, HARD BOY
Walking out of the shower, Lorelei was met with a mess of a view. That mess, of course, being herself. Once she had calmed down, the young mage properly washed her body and hair to exit the water as quickly as she entered; the intentions of a relaxing shower had become something she no longer wished to be part of.
Tying her hair into a messy top bun as she felt no care to style it properly, Lorelei's focus was kept on her eyes. They were red and puffy, leaving no hint to the imagination that she had been crying. The redness was only influenced by the purple of her irises.
She just couldn't be bothered to care about her appearance, she had bigger issues at hand as she quickly dried her body. Things like placing her belongings back into her duffle bag and finding the boys. Then dealing with Dr. Adamson and the answers they did not receive but that was not a priority for Lorelei right now - she could focus on that after dealing with the fallout of leaving the two Robin's unsupervised.
So she did just that. After getting dressed into her black leggings and a random oversized vintage t-shirt of a band she didn't care about, the young mage gathered her belongings from the guest bedroom - and bathroom - before putting it within its designated place in her overfilled duffle bag.
All she had left to do on her list was to find the boys and deal with whatever had happened in the time she had alone. She was not excited about that. Why was she the responsible one? When did that happen? Taking a breath of encouragement, Lorelei filled her lungs with a newfound gratitude before exhaling slowly.
It didn't take long to find the boys. She had looked in three places after noting she was alone in the main area of the safehouse. The kitchen, which was also empty. A bathroom, which held a very unconscious Dr. Adamson; it seemed Dick had given him something strong to keep him knocked out for so long... or he was just pathetically weak. And finally, the tech room, where the boys were.
With Dick sitting at one of many screens, his phone to his ear and Jason standing nearby, waiting on Dick's reaction, Lorelei was somewhat surprised to see the boys not at each other's throats. It was a pleasant surprise. The screen the boys circled around held a picture of a man and information on him, thanks to the advancements of special vigilante Wayne Tech. Clayton Williams.
The room was quiet and from where Lorelei stood within the doorway, the young mage could faintly hear Dick's phone go to voicemail. "Milwaukee's only an hour and a half from here, I gotta go make sure he's safe." Dick said, standing up and headed for the door, stopping in his tracks as he saw Lorelei and flashed her a small smile.
"We're going on a road trip, excellent." Jason said, more than eager to get back in the car.
Lorelei, on the other hand, groaned internally at the mention of another road trip. Mostly because she knew she would be stuck in the backseat once again. Partially, the ice blonde mage was beginning to miss the routine of staying in one place at a time. Being in survival mode is exhausting and she didn't realise the toll it was taking on her until today, it was an unnecessary wake up call she hadn't had in a long time. Years, even.
She was also missing Gotham. Even if that meant going on her morning jogs, a task she forced herself to do every single morning unless she was sick - something that was a rarity. Running could happen at any time, Lorelei knew that. Running in the morning was better for her mind, she had found. It was an outlet for her to process the nightmares she had from the previous night.
