"Riki, sure ka ba na ready ka na pumunta ng school?" Tanong sa akin ni ate habang naghahanda siya para sa interview niya.
It's been seven weeks. I'm still a mess.
"Ate, last day ng enrollment ngayon." Sabi ko habang nilalagyan ng gel ang buhok ko.
"What if magkita kayo?" Tanong niya.
"I have no choice but to face him." Hinarap ko si ate at pinagkrus ang braso ko.
"I'll ask for closure na rin ate. For my peace of mind." She smiled.
Nilapitan niya ako at hinalikan sa pisngi.
"Ate is always here okay? Fighting lang." Sabi niya tapos umalis na.
I let out a deep breath.
Pumasok ako sa campus na naka hoodie at sunglasses. I don't care kung pinagtitinginan ako. I'm still a mess so I need to cover up.
Dumiretso na ako sa admin's office. After I saw my grades at mag-enroll, lumabas na ako.
I was looking at my grades when I met him near the field. He looked shocked. So I was. Kaso natabunan ako ng sunglasses ko.
"Hey." I managed to say that after minutes of silence from the both of us.
"Hey." He awkwardly said.
"Don't panic. Di ako manggugulo sa'yo." I sighed.
"Oh okay. Good to know." He sighed.
"I just to have the closure I need if you don't mind." I saw him widened his eyes.
"Can you tell me the real reason? Kasi hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin ako naniniwala sa'yo." Nabasag ang boses ko.

"Wala akong ibang reason." He panicked.
"I don't believe you." Napaatras siya.
"Wala kang choice kundi maniwala Riki." Sabi niya.
"You're heartless. How can you say that when your eyes tell me differently from your verbal reasons?" I heaved a deep breath.
"Namamalik mata ka lang. Same lang reasons ko Riki. Wag ng paulit ulit." Sabi niya while trying to smile.
"Don't smile." Nanlaki ang mata niya.
"I don't want to see you smile while I'm still miserable."
A tear fell from my eye at di na iyon natakpan ng sunglasses.
"I'm sorry." Napayuko siya.
"Sinasabi ko na nga ba!" I saw his dad walking towards us furiously.
"Dad kalma. We just met unexpectedly." Sabi ni Sun.
"He's right sir. We just accidentally ran into each other. Nothing else." I saw Sun's tear falling from his left eye.
"Mauuna na po ako. I hope our paths won't cross again. Good day po." I walked past to them.
