Elliot was really torn and didn't know if he should go after Maureen or not. When he moved closer to Olivia, she just shook her head and shut her apartment door. Elliot left Olivia's floor and went downstairs to find Maureen. It wasn't hard, because she had sat down on the steps as her body shook from sobs.
"C'mon, I'll drive you home. I can grab your car in the morning." Elliot frowned as he reached down and caressed his daughter's hair.
"Go away." Maureen whimpered.
"I'm not going away, Mo. So please, just come with me."
"Why did you pick her?" Maureen whispered as she looked up at her father. Elliot let out a weak sigh before settling down beside his daughter.
"Liv and I got into a fight at work the day that our affair started. The argument was about the fact your mother didn't trust me to watch Eli while she was away... and that we were falling out of love."
"What?" Maureen whispered.
"Your mother refused to let me keep Eli with me because she said I'm a terrible father. That I wouldn't spend any time with him. So the night of the fight, I went over to Olivia's apartment to apologize for getting mean with her. I agreed with what she had said, and we ended up drinking all night. Olivia said that I could stay at her place, and I followed her to her bedroom. I thought she wanted me in there with her, but she didn't. She changed her mind, though, and we ended up sleeping together." Elliot explained as tears burned his eyes.
He never thought he'd be the type of man to cheat on his wife. When Kathy got pregnant with Maureen, Elliot stepped up and became a father and husband when he didn't want to be. Yet he stood by his family and provided for them. He gave up his own dreams to make sure that Kathy and Maureen were always fed and had a roof over their heads. But then he made the mistake of cheating on his wife, and he hated himself for that. Everyone else did too.
"If you don't love mom, does that mean you don't love us either?" Maureen whispered, and Elliot shook his head quickly.
"The love I have for you and your siblings will never go away. I wish it was the same with your mother, but it doesn't work that way." Elliot frowned.
Maureen leaned over and rested her head against her father's shoulder.
"I hate Olivia so much." Maureen whimpered.
"She can't take all the blame, Mo. It takes two to have an affair and make a baby. Which, by the way, that baby is your sibling. You may not like it, but you can't try to harm Olivia or that baby. Do you understand?"
"No matter how many times you can say that, I refuse to think of that baby as my sibling." Maureen huffed. She had calmed down for the moment, but now she was pissed off again and wanted revenge, just like her mother.

Olivia was alone all weekend, but she liked it that way. After being attacked by Maureen, she didn't want to face Elliot and discuss what had been said. Olivia just focused on trying to get her anxiety to ease, and trying to get caught up on sleep.
"How was your weekend?" Fin asked, as he and Olivia walked out of the elevator together.
"It was fine." Olivia lied, since a good portion of Friday night she was sobbing.
"Did you go to see your doctor?"
"Why would I see my doctor?" Olivia asked quickly, since she was worried that Fin might have realized that she was pregnant.
"You have seen run down lately, and I was hoping you went in. Maybe you just have a virus or something." Fin spoke, and Olivia nodded.
They walked through the squadroom doors, and the moment that Cragen spotted Olivia, he was yelling her name and demanding that she go into his office.
"Captain, what's wrong?" Olivia asked, as she shook when the door was slammed.
"When were you going to inform me that you are pregnant? That Stabler is the father?!" Cragen spat, and Olivia swallowed hard.
"Don-"
"Give me truthful answers, or else I will take your badge." Cragen huffed.
"I was going to tell you in about three weeks, when I got the call clear from my doctor. Elliot just found out a few days ago, so I guess I'd tell you when I knew I wouldn't lose the baby." Olivia breathed as her voice shook.
"He's married, Olivia! Let alone the fact he's your fucking partner! It is unacceptable to be dating your partner, especially since it can mess with your decision making!" Cragen yelled, as Olivia cried quietly.
"I'm sorry, sir."
"No, you aren't! God, Olivia! Why are you so dumb sometimes? You and Stabler are just giant pains in my ass!"
Olivia swallowed hard as she dragged a shaky hand across her cheeks.
"How long is my suspension going to be?" Olivia whimpered.
"Your new commanding officer can decide that. You broke the rules, Benson. That means you are getting transferred."
Olivia finally looked up at Cragen, and couldn't believe that she heard that.
"What?"
"Elliot has been here longer than you, so he gets to stay. You are getting transferred to a different unit. I put the paperwork in this morning. Go pack up your desk and get the hell out of my station house."
///
Olivia was physically shaking as she shoved a box into the back seat of her car. She couldn't believe that she was getting transferred and probably suspended too. Olivia loved her job, and now she would never do it again.
"Coming in late today?" Elliot asked as he sauntered up to Olivia's car.
"Did you tell anyone that I'm pregnant?" Olivia asked, as she turned to face Elliot.
"What? Telling someone that you are pregnant is your right, not mine. Who else knows?" Elliot questioned.
"Cragen found out, El. Someone told Cragen, and he went off on me when I got in. As of right now, I am no longer a detective here. I'm getting transferred and suspended because someone told Cragen and he took it all out on me."
