The sky is slowly showing its blue color. Alison woke up automatically, her body clock is to blame.
She untangled herself from Hemera's limbs then took a quick bath and prepare herself to leave. She planned to sneak her way out. She just wants to avoid him at all cost, remembering her last thoughts before she fell asleep last night.
She doesn't want to be involved with someone who chose another girl over her.
And what's worst is that Nicole is overly perfect in every way that being mad and jealous felt so wrong.
'Once is enough.'
It's only 5:47 AM and she doubts that Hayden is already awake. If her memory serves her right, he is a heavy sleeper. He can't wake up early to save his ass.
Nevertheless, she opened the door slowly, flinching when it creaked.
She tiptoed along the stairs but when she reached the last step, she smelled the strong fragrance of food being cooked. She heard her stomach grumble as a response.
"Fuck my memory." She mumbled as she ran quietly towards the door.
Alison knew Hayden will hear the front door so she did it quickly. And as if on cue, he turned around and ran after her.
"Alison, wait! Where are you going?"
But she ran so fast she was already turning on the ignition to life. She wasted no time and starts to drive out of their garage.
"Alison!" He called again and was about to reach her but he ran back inside as he heard him say a string of curses.
"I always knew he's gonna burn his hows to the ground someday." She laughed to herself as she drove towards her home.
It was a 45-minute drive and when she arrived she changed her clothes for work and picked up some notes she left and she's good to go.
At the ER, it is surprisingly quiet so she took her time to catch up to her charts and review them for pending orders.
"Ugh. I feel like puking." Alison heard Jonas from a distance.
She turned and smirked. What time is it? It's payback time.
She looked at Jonas following him behind.
"You two look like shit," Alison said as the boys approached her.
"I feel like shit. Where's Yu?" Jonas asked.
Alison pointed to where Grace is, tending to a patient on Bed 6 looking like nothing is bothering her at all. Unlike the two guys here.
"It's unfair!" Jonas grunted and got a tablet to review his patients' chart.
"Hey guys, do you happen to remember what happened last night?" Alison started
"Ugh. My brothers keep on rambling about it when I woke up and the idiot behind me, says he doesn't remember shit."
Alison laughed when she saw Mike glared at Jonas.
"What!? I told you that I don't have your car keys let alone your car! I was out just like you." Jonas explained.
"Ah, so this is what the fight is about." Alison smiled to herself as sh watched the boys argue.
"Yeah, but you could have at least told me when someone is about to steal it!"
"How will I know when I can't even open my eyes for shit!"
Alison noticed that the guys are attracting everyone's attention. She glimpsed at Grace and saw her face as if asking her about the two but she just shrugged her shoulders.
"Guys. Stop it. Dr. Choi, I have your keys. Didn't his brothers tell you?" Alison crossed her arms, looking so innocent as he points to Jonas pertaining to his brothers.
"You have my keys?"
"You met my brothers?"
The two guys said at the same time earning chuckles from a few nurses.
"Yes and yes. Seriously, you argue like an old married couple."
"Ugh. Thank God! I thought I got myself into trouble. My brothers said that a guy carried me home last night. Turned out, it was you."
Alison laughed as it was indeed a guy who carried him last night... or early his morning.
Grace then joined their conversation.
"You two look like shit."
"That's what we've been told. Do you remember how you got home last night?"
"Yes, Alison and her friend. Which reminds me, thank you again, Alison. And I'm so sorry to trouble you and your friend. I will never come near any beers again."
"Oh gosh. Thanks, Greene. And sorry for the trouble. I hope you won't use it against us."
"I won't if you buy me coffee."
"Deal."

Alison is on break. She got her phone to check her messages and found three.
"Just want you to know that my stupid brother almost got the house burned to ashes. I woke up when the smoke detector went off and the kitchen is filled with water and thick smoke. Good thing you already left. I think my brother is losing his mind even though I thought that he lost it a long time ago."
She laughed as she finished reading Hemera's message but got guilty at the same time. She was to blame for why Hayden almost burned the house down. She left without saying a word and he followed her.
She texted her back telling her the truth. She doesn't want everybody to turn against Hayden because of her.
"Dear, I hope Hayden did not bother you too much last night. Just tell me if he did anything funny again and I'll teach him a lesson for you. See you when we get home. I'll buy things here for you and Hem."
Alison's heart squeezed a little too hard for her liking. She was touched by Rose's words but thankful at the same time. She texted her back saying that it was okay and he did nothing but sleep and thanked her. She also informed her about the little stunt that happened because of her and asked sorry for it.
Alison just hopes that they will not get mad at Hayden.
"Hey, why did you leave in a hurry? I cooked breakfast for you. I will come to you. Now that I've tasted your lips again, I will do everything for you to like me again."
The last text she read had her reeling. What did he mean by 'tasted your lips again'? Hemera was with her the whole night. She even woke up with her still sleeping in her bed so she was sure that she and Hayden did not sleep on the same bed last night.
She can also remember having no one inside her room besides her and Hemera before she slept. There is no way they will not notice Hayden if he was inside.
'But what happened after I slept?'
Alison groaned in frustration. That asshole sneaked inside her room when they were in deep sleep and assaulted her lips!
That man had the nerve to kiss her when she was defenseless! So much for no monkey business!
By the time she ended her break, she was seething as if she was emitting an invisible flame around her body.
But she didn't know exactly why she was so mad. Or rather, who.
To Hayden who did it without her permission or to herself because somehow, she regretted the fact that she was sleeping like a log to not feel anything!
