NORA WAS SITTING IN THE GUARD TOWER, OVERLOOKING THE FIELD AND THE WOODS BEYOND THE FENCES,

She hasn't gone on a run in weeks, not that they really needed to. But she was getting antsy.

"Hey!" Nora looked down to see Rick standing near the base of the tower, "Why don't ya get off your lazy ass and help me with the crops?"

She smiled, "My lazy ass? Alright, Farmer Rick." Nora stood and jogged down the steps of the guard tower to meet Rick by the little farm,

They had found pigs at a farm two weeks back, when Michonne was out looking for a dangerous man that the group had dealt with. They caught all of them, and ate most of them. It sustained them for a while.

The community kept two alive, a male and a female, to get the sow pregnant so they could get even more food.

The kids hated the idea, but they had to do it to survive.

"No Carl this morning?" Nora asked, overlooking the two pigs who were waiting for their breakfast,

"Up all night reading those comic books you got him." Rick told her, nudging her with his elbow,

"At least he's not sneaking out and going to parties." Nora joked.

Rick handed her a bucket and the two went towards the compost, digging up the food waste and worms that were in a pile near the crops, "I guess I should be glad that he's not going to be able to go through that phase." Rick replied, scooping the scraps into the bucket while she did the same,

"Don't jinx it."

They stood and went over to the pen that the group built before dumping the pigs food into the trough, "Thanks for getting all those things for him. And Judith, too."

Nora looked up at the farmer, "These kids are growing up in a prison. They deserve as many toys and games I can get my hands on. They're good kids." She moved to grab the metal watering can and began walking towards the water pump,

"That they are." Rick muttered, watching as she walked away.

She pumped water into the can and made her way back to the crops and gently pouring it on the plants,

"You don't have to do that, ya know." Rick told her,

Nora shrugged, "Needed something to do anyways."

"You want to start making runs again?" He asked, watching as she moved around,

"Judith is gonna need more formula soon. Not to mention with the seasons changing, we're gonna need new clothes. Hygiene products. It's nice that we're not too overly concerned about food, but there are other needs." Nora said,

"Soap is a need?" Rick questioned,

The brunette grinned, "Have you smelled yourself recently? A blind person could mistaken you for one of the pigs."

"Oh really?" Rick picked up a handful of mud from the pig's pen and threw it at her.

Nora gasped, staring down at the brown splatter on her stomach, "Is that how you want to play?" She reached down and grabbed some wet soil from the crops she just watered and chucked it right back.

It hit his chest, splattering onto his neck and face. Rick smiled and shook his head, reaching for more mud, "No, no, no!" Nora began to run around the pen, trying to get as far away from Rick as she could.

Nora squealed as Rick grabbed her with one arm, and with the other, smothered the mud into her hair, "No, Rick!"

Luckily, she snatched some mud before he reached her, and she dragged her hand across his face, covering his cheek.

The two collapsed into the grass, laughing, "Now we really smell." Nora groaned,

"Dad?" They both sat up on their elbow, looking over at Carl, who was standing a yard away,

Nora and Rick glanced at each other before rushing to stand up, chasing after the teenager. He tried to outrun them, but Nora wrapped her arms around him, smearing mud on his shirt,

"Aw, c'mon, guys!" Carl groaned,

Daryl was in the courtyard, working on his bike. Yards away, Harley was sitting on the table, a young girl sitting between her knees as the red head braided the girl's hair.

"Just go ask her out or something." Carol smirked, standing next to him,

"'M not in high school." Daryl muttered, wiping his hands on his red rag.

"Then why are you so nervous?" Carol responded before walking away.

Daryl shook his head, placing a cigarette between his lips and lighting it, watching her for a few moments longer before going back to his bike.

Once he was done checking the oil, he turned back to where Harley was doing another girl's hair.  He put out his cigarette not he ground, smushing it underneath his boot before walking over,

Harley secured the rubber band in the girl's hair and looked up to see Daryl watching her, "I can do yours if you want."

Daryl shook his head, "Nah, girl." He stared at her for a moment, waiting as the little girl thanked Harley and ran off, "Want to go on a run tomorrow?"

She stood from the table,"Who else is going?"

"Just us." Daryl answered.

Her lips parted into a smile and Harley nodded, "Sounds great." She squeezed his arm before walking back towards her cell block, Daryl watching after her.
