I was just a kid
Who never really had a chance
I missed my family back home
Didn't trust or know anyone
But it was a light outside
That helped me find who I am inside
This was our one chance
To dance through an avalanche
But nothing helps the world to be more bright
They will have a better chance
To break off of their branch
But they're the ones who help us see the light
An animal that doesn't get a chance
Is like a girl who doesn't get a father daughter dance
But nothing will ever stop them from trying
And when you win you'll find wonderland
Where the only dirty sand
Is the sand spilling from your hand
Which will leave you golden and grand
But the way you made my life better was never planned
But nothing is like you
This was our one chance
To dance through an avalanche
But nothing helps the world to be more bright
They will have a better chance
To break off of their branch
But they're the ones who help us see the light
This was a day dream
Way beyond believing
But you brought me out of the night
Made me feel like I belong
You are my last chance
To dance
Through an avalanche but the world's still bright
They will have a better day
If they live through the day
But us kids are happy to have you by our side
There's nothing like home
On the front yard is a garden gnome
We've always got some room to grow
As we start to roam
It seems as if you will always care
Making me feel like I own the air
Nothing like this will ever compare
And if someone complains than I swear
I just want to say thank you
Now I belong and believe in myself
Because nothing is like home
