It was such a hard time
Teaching in front of everyone
Then stepping into a virtual world
Who will show up
And who won't show up
I can't stand the screen on my face
My eyes are strained
But then
Hybrid hit us harder than virtual
And it kept us from knowing
Each other that well
But we still can still talk
And look at each other's glitching faces
Not knowing that they're talking about Lorde
But instead their religion in geometry class
My eyes are strained
I feel like giving up and moving on
And not try to keep straight A's
We will never know each other
But hybrid is not the way to go
We're only adjusting
We're just adjusting
And it may be the hardest things
But we're still trying
We're only adjusting
We're still adjusting
And it may be one of the hardest things
But we'll always keep trying
My head hurts
It isn't the work
It isn't the constant talking of the annoying bullies
But the screens just kept me down
And the ibuprofen can't help my case now
It hurts and it throbs
And I love my teachers so much
But it hurts my head
They're working and working and working
But it just doesn't seem like it's enough
To some students but not for me
Because right now it's the hardest time
And they have their jobs left spinning the wheel
It's some of the hardest things to do right now
It is the hardest thing to think about
And it became the hardest thing to care right now
They are only adjusting
They are just adjusting
And it may be the hardest things
But they are still trying
They are only adjusting
They are still adjusting
And it is the hardest thing right now
And they are still trying their hardest
But they're only adjusting
They are the heroes without capes
Teaching us through a screen
And still trying
They are still trying
Oh, Oh
They are only adjusting
They are still adjusting
And it is the hardest thing right now
And they are still trying their hardest
But they're only adjusting
They are only adjusting
They are still adjusting
And it is the hardest thing right now
And they are still trying their hardest
But they're only adjusting
And it may be the hardest thing
Right now
But they are still
Adjusting
So give them a break
Give them a break
A break
Because they're only adjusting
