Chapter 45

--Shinhye's POV--

I went to my work place and handed in my resignation. The owner of the place got really sad because I was leaving, she's a nice person. I'm sorry but I'm more than sure with my decision.

As I went out of the place, I saw a familiar figure standing beside the entrance.

"Lee Minho-ssi...." I called out.

He turned his head to look at me.

He smiled, "I saw the news articles..."

"Pretty bad, huh..." I smiled. What happened at CNBLUE's concert certainly got spread all over the world. God, their popularity is not a joke. I'm sure that a lot of fangirls are crying right now, sorry girls...

And, I'm pretty sure there are a lot of hate comments for me but Yonghwa told me not to go online, he even hid my phone.

"Glad you're happy now."

I sighed, a sigh of relief, "Yeah, finally."

"Shinhye-ssi."

I turned my head to look at him, "Hmm?"

He smiled, "Before you leave... I wanna tell you that..." He bowed his head, he was avoiding my gaze. "I really like you."

It took me seconds to realize what he just said, "W-what?"

"I'm not gonna say it again." He smiled again, "Since you're now happy. I shouldn't be bothering you anymore."

"M-Minho-ssi.... You weren't bothering me... You're a really good friend. You were always there for me... And... Sorry.... I can't respond to your feelings...." It's only proper to give him answer.

"It's alright. I already know that it's only Jung Yonghwa for you. You really love him, don't you?"

I nodded and smiled. "Thank you for everything, Minho-ssi."

"No problem." He raised his gaze to the sky. "But I guess this is goodbye."

I thought my heart stopped for a moment, I knew this was gonna happen. I can't possibly ask him to still be friends with me.

I half-smiled, "Yeah... Goodbye." I offered my hand in front of him. He stared at it before accepting it. But I was surprised when he used that opportunity to pull me in for a hug.

"M-Minho-ssi?"

He broke the hug and smiled at me, "Don't worry, it's just a friendly hug."

"Okay..."

"You done?" I flinched when I heard Yonghwa's voice behind me.

"Y-Yonghwa-ya, what're you doing here?"

"What? I asked you mom where your workplace is." Then he wrapped his arm around my shoulder.

"I'll get going then." Lee Minho said while turning his back on us, "I wish all the happiness for you two."

"Bye..." I softly said.

And when Lee Minho disappeared in front of us, Yonghwa suddenly patted my head.

"After that, I don't wanna see you hugging other guys besides me, okay?" I was shocked with what he said.

"Y-you saw that?"

He pouted, "Yeah, but I held back 'cause I know that he'll be gone for good."

I smirked, "Why are you so cute?" I pinched his nose.

I was surprised when he suddenly hugged me. "C'mon let's go back to Korea~ I still have a lot of things to settle."

"Yeah. Let's go back."

We should face the consequences of our actions.
